thanks wal mart

I just went to 1 local Wal-Mart. The girl in Electronics said she didn't know how many they were getting in tomorrow.
 
Back and they had 1. Bought it full retail for $567.10 with tax. A lot cheaper than Best Buy's $699 (before tax) and cheaper than Verizon's $569.00. Working on activating it now. In 6 months when they release that new Droid Pro...ebay here I come. Riding the Droid X high for now though.

But if you aren't getting a contract, so you can constantly upgrade, doesn't it sort of work out...I mean if you put a value on ALWAYS having the best phone?

buy new phone, ebay 6 month old phone?
 
Im at wlmart now....they have one in stock but its not in the system....try are trying to add it..,will up date

Well it ultimately depends on how long you keep the phone, and how much the service costs you.

I mean if you got the money, go for it, I just couldn't imagine dropping that much on a phone.
 
it was in my hands........it wasnt in their system yet so they couldnt sell it to me....they tried several times to add it but it wouldnt go through. one good note though is they have it on hold for me in the morning(the department closes at 10 and opens at 9am) so if it doesnt work out at verizon in the morning ive got a backup plan.
 
Whats Wal Marts return policy on phones? I'd like to buy it and return it when my upgrade with Verizon is availabe in September :)
 
Yeah I tried my local Wal Mart out of curiousity and they had no idea what I was talking about. I was told that they're moving their phone area up front in two weeks so maybe they'll get it then

I also bought mine at Wal Mart today for full price. I don' t feel I over payed one bit.

VZW full price- $569
Best Buy full price- $699
Wal Mart full price $529

...and we have the freedom to hop to the LTE/ better/FF camera phones in 6-9 months and sell our Droid X's to pay for most of it. Can you do that paying $100 tomorrow?:rolleyes:

How are people buying their phones from Walmart today? I don't understand it. I've been calling and asking and they told me not until tomorrow.

Getting locked into a contract doesnt mean getting locked into a phone. They will be able to sell theirs for the same amount you can. They just wont be able to get discounted pricing for a year.
