The Atrix Pre-Order Page Is Live

I purchased the iPhone 4 last year at launch which makes me ineligible for an upgrade until November of this year. Tonight, I was just looking around the Atrix pre-order page and for some reason I was successfully able to upgrade and get the subsidized Atrix 4G for $199. Do you guys think this was some sort of error?

You are one lucky ---. I purchased iPh4 onn launch also but best price i can get is $499.:(

Not so sure about that. I went through the upgrade path with my 'feature-phone unlimited data' and was able to select unlimited messaging and data - 30.00. I backed out of it due to wanting to buy off-contract and not upgrade/extend my contract for another 2 years.

Clicked the Check for line upgrades or something like that
Picked the right line
Clicked android on the left
The atrix was the 2nd one in
Added to cart
selected 2gb plan + insurance

Could not add any accessories to cart :/ I only wanted the car dock anyway, I figure it will be availaable at AT&T store upon launch anyway so I let it go.

Total price: $199.99

Your order will be shipped via 2 day express

Your order will be delivered on or before March 6th.
 
Any one know why I was able to pre order at 7:30ish pacific time I just checked the att website and let me do it and got the phone for $199.99 even though i didnt have an upgrade? either ways im excited!!

I logged into my account to try and upgrade/preorder, and found that I couldn't add any accessories either (I want the laptop dock bundle). I talked to a customer service person online and they told me I would have to buy the laptop dock after receiving the phone. Waiting to see if they fix that online. I'm not paying that much extra to order the laptop dock separately. :mad:
 
FWIW, I pre-ordered over the phone ordering the laptop dock and entertainment package. I didn't have to change my rate plan, give up my unlimited data nor add the tethering plan. So I don't know if when I get the laptop dock it will prompt me to add the tethering plan once I enter webtop and start up Firefox but we shall see. Now the wait begins.

I just preordered at $199. My line wasn't eligible for an upgrade and I was anticipating ordering for the full price but the site didn't give the option. It said Contract Renewal for $299 with $100 instant online discount on all 5 of the lines on my family plan. I'm not sure if this is an error or not but I'm concerned about my order being canceled and losing my place in line. Anyone know if AT&T will honor the price or just cancel if it isn't right?

Just passing along what was on my screen when I added the Atrix to my cart. It specifically says must have been on a "smartphone" plan, so if you were just using a feature-phone, that is probably why you don't have the option to add unlim data.

This problem has been corrected. When I tried last night (around midnight), I had the same problem. I just tried again (around 10 am) and was able to pre-order the atrix with no problem.
 
When i tried to order, it didn't give me the $100 instant rebate. Im assuming, after reading the fine print, its because i have an unlimited data plan whihc dosn't qualify me for the rebate? Anyone else seeing this?

I have. I keep getting the run around. They say it will work in one hour. Then it doesn't. They try to order it for me, but then I don't get the online prices for the phone or accessories. They say online is 199, but if I do by phone then it is 299.

I don't mean to be an ass, but it seems as though you think we are idiots. I obviously am trying these things. I have argued with these people on the phone several times over the last 10 hours.

I don't know how the rebate works, but I am a Premier customer and was eligible for the $100 rebate. I currently have an iPhone 4 with Unlimited data and Family Share Unlimited texting. I am waiting to get the phone from my brother on the 6th so he can get some commission. I was originally going to sell my iPhone 4 to a friend of mine for some cash and the ability to use his upgrade. Have to admit, $399 off contract is pretty tempting to just buy it off contract and hang on to the iPhone to sell on Ebay or whatever. FWIW my line is eligible for upgrade in November.
