The Bah-Humbug thread!

Tried to do a little Xmas shopping today. I said some things while alone in the car that I can't post here. Fa-la-la-la-la.
 
i tried to do a little christmas shopping yesterday! I walked into the store..
5 min later...I decided I can't stand people ..
and walked right out!!!

I used to really enjoy the holidays, as it was a time for the entire family to get together and stop fighting and just be together. It was nice.

That change a few years back... now everyone kinda does their own thing. I now find the holidays pretty depressing and just smile that fake smile. Also, the whole gift giving thing is weird, and I get pretty stressed trying to find a good, useful, meaningful gift...

But, I am excited for this year. We're going to visit some family on the 24th, and I must admit, I do quite enjoy the 24 hours of A CHRISTMAS STORY that is on every year.

Gremlins at least had a Christmas component. You've got mail doesn't even have a reindeer in it.
 
Here's something kinda weird that I do from the transition period from the 24th to the 25th...

Instead of watching those weird live feeds from far away religious facilities, I tend to watch mob movies.

The first year was, I think Goodfellas, last year Casio, I'm hoping for Boondock Saints this year :D

doesn't have a favorite mob movie i pretty much like all of them but if I had to pick then Godfather hands down.
 
I work in a hospital and volunteered to work 12 hours christmas day. It gets me far away from all the materialism that the holiday has become.
