The Bah-Humbug thread!

I opened a bottle of Dalmore single malt last week and the Mrs finished it off on me :mad:

Her idea of whiskey was the blended crap her dad used to drink. When I got her to taste some decent stuff, I haven't been able to keep it for very long. I think I screwed up there. ;)

I made the same mistake.

She isn't a big fan of Laphroaig or Lagavulin, so now I drink more of them. You reminded me though, Dalmore cigar malt is another one she doesn't favor. I need to find me some of that again! Now that I don't smoke cigs anymore, I may not enjoy that one as much though...
Well, we will just have to find out.
 
Well not much longer now and this whole shindig will be over. I for one have really tried to be in the spirit but find myself viewing it more and more as just another day. I still believe in what it is supposed to be and how it is supposed to be and try to keep my focus on that its just hard when you see commercials of people opening gifts and going oh yeah what I always wanted I mean really it's not supposed to be about what you want but what you need. The pagans gave out blankets and warm clothing because it was winter and hard to survive with out the advantages of heat we have today. Where is the Love, the goodwill to all man kind, and the gratitude of thankfulness?

I haven't seen the Cigar Malt around here for a couple of years. I was given a bottle of that for my 50th and I don't think it made it much past that. I'm rather fond of the Macallan, too, which the Mrs won't touch. I've also found that if I make her something fruity (Lemon slush in the summer or Daiquiri's in the cooler months) she'll leave my scotch alone. :)
 
This poor cat. It's a Snowshoe and having its picture all over the place isn't doing all Snowshoes any favor. They all don't look that grumpy.

Do not like the Laphroaig or the Lagavulin. Too "peety" for me. Love Oban...and still like Johnny Walker Blue.
