Root The Beast 7.9 is out!!!

Oh yeah...the live wallpapers...hmm

I REALLY wanted live wallpapers when I couldn't have them. Tried some 2.1 ROMS and all of the wallpapers didn't work, etc. Now that you can get 2.1 and 2.0.1 ROMS with all of the live wallpapers working.....THEY BLOW!

What a stupid thing to ever want! Oooh..look, the little neural network is going crazy all over the place...oooohhh!!! Seriously, if you think you want live wallpapers...try it...get it out of your system...then move on. I hear all about people wanting it on the 2.1 update and pissed off that motorola/google/android (whoever), might not include it in the update. They Suck!

If you like them...go for it. I am just disappointed in myself for wasting hours trying different roms to fine one that has working live wallpapers...just to find that I really don't like em...maybe I'm the small minority :cool:

Okay so I had just upgraded to 7.6 and after trying 7.8, then updating to 7.9...I am back at 7.6 for a few reasons.

1) I was running at 1.2...and it's gone

2) Custom theme lost...don't want to do it again cause it wasn't easy...had to move files, use multiple themes, etc.

3) Facebook doesn't work...went back to 7.6 and my facebook app is working propertly...

4) I was running at 1.2...and it's gone (I know I already said that but damn...I liked 1.2) :D

One more thing I was missing in 7.9...but I have changed so many files and roms and pieces and parts of this and that....I am no longer certain that this is from BB 7.6 Look at the keyboard...this has been the best keyboard I have used and although I think it is just a visual mind-freak (you know the word I wanted to use)...but I typed faster and more accurate on this keyboard than any other I have tried.

CORRECTION: The native keyboard on Bugless Beast is and has always been the default Android Keyboard. Sorry for the confusion. I had a theme by KrazyKrivda on AllDroid installed and didn't realize it changed the keyboard. Looks nice though huh? :)

Agreed. I went through my old post and can verify that this was in BB 7.6. I'm not sure why Pete removed it but I would like to see it back in future releases (I realize that I am not all people so Pete can do what he does and I won't complain). The added definition around the keys just seems to work for me.

Thanks my friend. I was just wondering, I have seen where live wallpapers were removed because you lost root with them...I have noticed that drocap2 and wireless tethering have stopped working...have I lost root? Even if I have, as of now I love the way 7.9 is running with the wallpapers and i'm keeping it. I never use those two apps anyway but I would like to know if I have lost root.

I'm not sure of anything at this point. I saw a post talking about the keyboard in BB 7.6 so I turned better keyboard off and that was my stock android keyboard. :confused:

I'll try figuring out what theme it was.

I updated and it seems that my phone is not rooted anymore. The Superuser Icon is still there but none of the root apps are working. Is that even possible because if I'm not rooted...how am I able to flash Pete's custom 7.9?

I had issues like this with 7.7 - 7.9. Install the update that Pete has posted for Bugless Beast 1.0. That should fix your issues ;)

PS...You have root still...I don't think busybox is working:confused:
