Chiara delighted us with her company today. She's turning two in two weeks. Out off the blue she started counting the cups, out loud, till three. A historical moment

Spent some time with my love in The Hague (Den Haag) this afternoon. The center of our Dutch national government (pics 3, 4, 5 and 6). In that mini tower in pic 4 is the official of our Prime Minister actually. Kinda Harry Potter-ish, I guess

Got a postcard today, from my mom. With a pic of the Fantoft stavkirke, near the city Bergen in Norway. A Christian wooden stave church. A rebuild of the original from 1150, since a looney burnt down that one in 1992. I have been in Rome, and seen many churches in my life, but this was probably the most magical one.
And we attended a wedding today.
Oh, and that's me with my love.

Grounded, that's what can happen when you drive and can't see the missing manhole cover. The white VW is from the insurance company. They assess and usually settle any accident claims there and then, no waiting.

Speaking of flooded streets... this was after a heavy rainfall the day my daughter and I went biking on Coronado Island in San Diego. In this picture, right near the fence is a sidewalk, then there are 2 lanes in the road. There was so much water in the road that I'm sure some of the cars we saw drive by got water in the bottom of their door. Sadly, this was supposed to also be our beach day, but everything - including us - was soaked, & there wasn't anyplace dry for us to lay even after the rain stopped.

Some of my coworkers at a big Sales meeting today. The gorilla was the emcee of a game where the fly, cockroach, & bee had to answer questions, and the contestant had to decide if the answer given was true or not - like the old Hollywood Squares game.
It's funny how just about every hotel conference room looks the same.
