The Bolt wil be available 2/14!

The Best Buy website has been updated with the new Weekly Circular. The TB is on page 18. No price details, just a pre-order notice.
 
Alright Droiders,
I went into my local Verizon store this morning and asked about pre-orders for the Tbolt. All they would say is--"yeah, its coming but we dont have a date yet." Ok. I told them that the Best Buy two blocks away was taking pre-orders this morning and not one of the 8+ people working had heard about that. They seemed suspicious so I suggested that they look at the newspaper if they doubt it. I asked if I could pre-order with them. They said NOPE. It will be here on launch day whenever that is.

So I went across the way to Best Buy, the fellow at the BBM desk just arrived and he wasnt sure so he suggested that I wait while he checked his email. He said I could pre-order the Tbolt and it would be in store on the 14th.

I then found out that BB does not honor VZW's early upgrade policy so I am screwed until the VZW store gets the word from Big Red Big HQ.

Ugh, I hate my Droid Eris. Bring on the Bolt already. Worst. Launch. Ever.
 
Like dc7261600 I went into a local Best Buy, but they were aware that pre-orders had started. Unfortunately, also like dc I was not yet at the 2yr mark, so even tho Verizon keeps telling me I'm eligible, Best Buy doesn't see it and won't give me an upgrade, so I too am waiting for the official Verizon pre-order process to start. I just hope that if we order through Verizon we get our Thunderbolts at the same time the Best Buy pre-orderers do.

I find that strange. They saw my upgrade and said no problem.
 
yeah I went to Best buy in Battle creek,MI and walked in just as they opened this morning and pre-ordered the thunderbolt for the 50.00 couldn`t give me for-sure date when It will come out, I was for sure the first person there to pre-order it lol;)
 
hmm its not in the circular from my paper, i checked online and its not listed there either at my local store. for those who have found it at either place are you in a 4g area?

Good question there. I myself am in a 4G area (Cincy)

Did you check the online circular or just the webpage? Make sure you look at the circular for the particular store you want to go to.

i checked the online circular for my local store it was the same as what came in my local news paper. no mention of the thunderbolt.
 
I preordered two tbolts at my local best buy this morning. I have one phone on my family plan that is eligible and my primary line is eligible for early upgrade. The BBM Rep told me all it would take is a call to VZW and they would honor my upgrade. Now just waiting for them to release the hounds..I mean bolts

I just got off the phone with my local Verizon store and the associate said that the Bolt will arrive on the morning of the 14th and they will start selling them that day.
 
Before you guys jump on this deal like it's the best thing since sliced bread I hope you consider you'll be stuck with the phone for 20 months. I'd say really think about that. I'm not saying dont get the Bolt I will but Best Buy doesn't do 1yr contracts and Verizon's new policy will lock you in for a full 20 months no other option exists thru them. I'm personally waiting until Verizon stores get them and pay an extra 70 up front and get an upgrade after 10 months vs the 20 month contract. Getting a phone a week or even month early isn't appealing to me if I have to wait an extra 20 months to see a new one. This phone is popular right now but where will it be mid 2012 (a year and a half from now) when you still have another 6 months to go before seeing another phone?
