Root The "correct" way to a "perfect" bobz cm10 ROM?

I'm thinking this thread would keep things a little "more" organized and so the same questions do not keep on popping up.

Steps I took:
1. Flashed ROM
2 or 3. Flashed Gapps
3 or 2. Flashed Ver. C modem
(I forgot which order I did this in..)
4. Ac!d sound mod (for In-call volume boost)
5. AGPS (for GPS, I haven't tested this because I don't use my GPS)

Annoyances:
- USB connection to PC stopped working :/
- call volume is at about 50% of STOCK
- If I Find anything wrong I'll re-update

If anyone did any extra procedures or did something differently, please post! You may just help someone else.

Okay. I'm not sure what to think of the in-call volume after reading posts after posts, but I'm starting to think I missed a step or something. I can hear the person on the other end, but when in a crowded situation I can't hear at all.

Steps I took:
1. Flashed ROM
2 or 3. Flashed Gapps
3 or 2. Flashed Ver. C modem

4. Ac!d sound mod (for In-call volume boost)
5. AGPS (for GPS)

I feel as if the volume is at half of stock or even 40% of stock output.

If anyone did any extra procedures or did something differently, please post!
Thanks I'll include all of these in the next Paranoid Android Build :)

5. AGPS (for GPS)

what is this cant find it
AGPS

There you go.

And I may be wrong but ac!d mod might not make in-call volume louder. I tried it on stock f and it does work with music - it makes it about 30~40% louder in my estimate, but in-call volume seems to be about the same.
I haven't tried in-call with speaker on.

And as for the AGPS patch, it has only been confirmed to be clean because it just flashes a GPS config file with different configurations to allow more satellites to retrieve information from (therefore it'd make it faster to get a location and more accurate) but there have been many people using it and they said it didn't work for them...

As for me, when I tried CM10, my gps worked perfectly fine, but that might be because I live in NYC.

My in-call volume was much lower without AC!D, but maybe i was in an area with low coverage? Testing it yourself and putting up the results will help EVERYONE.

And I'm sorry I still haven't tried if aGPS works...
If anyone can verify it helps out please let us know. I'll have links up later on if possible.

I'll test ac!d now actually and will edit this post with my results.
The Notes section of AGPS says he recommends the google links for all phone, but our phone isnt on the supported list.

So any imput on what build/method you used would be great!

EDIT: AC!D doesn't seem to boost incall volume by any means.
It can adjust headset/speaker volume but my incall volume still seems to be 50% of stock.
=/

New edit:

AGPS
I downloaded the top "google specific no ssl v3.1" build, and put the gps.conf in /etc/
renamed the old gps.conf > gps.conf.bak
Haven't tested driving with it yet, but it does lock on to my location very fast.

Lets hope tomorrow when im out driving it works!
Ill re-edit again with the outcome!

Newest edit... my GPS still doesn't work. Says no GPS found. Giving approx location. And it is very wrong. I'm gonna try the SSL version. I doubt it will help though.

You have to manually push to system/etc. Don't forget the right permissions and reboot. Worked for me but CM has other issues that need fixing ;like cameras, video, volume, bootbuddy, freezing. Till then Ima be stock

Yeah, me too. The volume was good, but not on speakerphone. Also my computer doesn't "see" the phone. Android debugging on and still nothing. That's on all the CM roms I tried. Going stock, maybe I'll try a different launcher.

I flashed ver c modem and not knowing the purpose, I thought it would increase my internet connection speed, I do not get any connection from metropcs network only from my wifi now. is there a fix?
