The Droid X scares Apple

Here, let me sum that up 4 ya, K?
Okay so why else would Apple be leaking to the press that Iphone is coming to Verizon through "anonymous" sources?

Why else would there be rumors that Droid X doesn't have pinch to zoom something that helped make Iphone stand out originally?

The reason I said Droid X scares Apple is because they know that DX is the first big contender and and many more to come within the next 2 years before their next Iphone release.

Your argument is so flawed.

I makes no financial since for Apple to leak "iPhone is coming to Verizon" or for Verizon to do it. That would kill the current sales of both phones.

It does make sense however for Sprint to leak it. :D

I agree that iPhone is running scared. Here why: BECAUSE THE DROID X IS ABLE TO GET RECEPTION AND MAKE PHONE CALLS! BWAH HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I kid...kinda.
Totally unrelated of course. The iPhone can make and receive calls just fine, as long as there is coverage.

If the iPhone were to come to vzw, apple wouldn't need to put all these extra antennas and all this bull crap on the phone just for it to get reception.

Of course, you probably already knew that....

I like to give Iphone users who tell me Iphones are better because they sell more this analogy: "Just because Toyota sells more cars than Mercedes doesn't mean they make a better car than Mercedes."

Haha, I use that analogy too, just swap Toyota with Honda. That and I ask them if they would wear their grandmother's clothes too (a little more buildup required for that one).

just wanted to say...im back on my old winmo xv6800 until i get my x...anyone know any good xv6800 roms LMAO!!!
im about to go back in the day with this phone!
get a bunch of .cabs and a good rom build and be...still un-usable UGH!

Yeah but with at&t they dont always have that so i wouldnt say it can make and receive calls just fine. If it is relying on service how do u know even with a better network it wouldnt have problems??

They probably care less about the droid x; they might have some strategic concerns about android phones as a collection but (at least for this year) it is probably not a major issue. Long term it remains to be seen what will happen. My guess is that more than 20x iphone 4 will sell over a year (12 month period) than droid x. Even the samsung galaxy s (which is world wide and available by many providers) will probably be 1/5 to 1/10 the sales of the iphone (I think it took a couple of months to reach 300K units sold in asia compared to iphone 4 reaching 2 million in a week or so; and the asians (well korea and japan anyways) are far ahead of us when it comes to smart phones/gadgets).

anyways not sure why I bother responding; you over reach in many of your statements. I hardly think things are crumbling around apple this year; though I'm sure long term there is some concern.

I'm pretty sure Apple isn't scared of the DROID X in any way, and they probably mock it internally for it's design. Android on many devices added together to eventually surpass it in market share over time is what they would be more concerned with.

Even then they are about high margin niche products, so they will ALWAYS make a lot of $ even if they ended up with a smaller market share.

I wouldn't say they can make and receive calls fine, at least not yet. Well unless you put a bumper or case on your phone, if not there are some issues going on.

Read all the reviews up until the iPhone 4 release.

When my HTC Incredible came out, it was a brand new phone compared to a nearly year old phone. The Incredible won of course, but the iPhone put up one hell of a fight, nearly comparable. For nearly a year old device to stay on pace with a new device is the mark of a good phone.

I have no doubts we will testing the iPhone 4 against the best Android devices for the year to come and the iPhone will still be the set the bar.

In the end its really just Audi vs BMW vs Mercedes, all are comparable, its just a matter of which you choose.

I was referring to the issue with the new antenna, though. The antenna issue has customer's filing a huge class action lawsuit against Apple. I saw it on the news. So, it is related. They are having hardware issues.

Seriously? A lawsuit? Just switch phones lol. You waste more money suing Apple than anything else.

Read this before you jump to that conclusion. There's going to be some money in this. Unfortunately, it will be more for the lawyers.

I guess for me it's like someone suing Walmart. You might as well walk away from the giant it is because the chances of you seeing any major pay out is slim considering most of it will go to the lawyers plus the fact that these giants delay as much as possible and most people can't afford that kind of drawn out court process because they don't have that kind of money to waste.
