earlier you stated that you had already converted the file with the tool./.. just renaming the file wont work.... you need the tool to run a Nbimg script to convert the file.

ok lets start here.... the file that you need has to be a file that is listed in the tutorial. when you go through the process of setting up the file to be processed through the conversion tool.. you are creating a file that has all the properties that is needed,,, this tool only converts the .bmp file to a .img file here is a question that will help me understand where your at.. what does the file icon looklike.... ie is it a picture or a blank page or what,, what does the file icon look like.

1) get a file
2)make it a bmpfile rgb color 24bitdepth
3)put in the tool folder and click the file that says run this one
4) take the file it made and rename it splash1.img
5)send it and the txt file to a zipped folder
6)name this folder pc36img.zip and drop it on your sd card

The file icon of the bmp picture or the icon of the tool. There is three dos looking programs that came in the link I installed. When I run it all it does is run dos and ask me to press any key which i do and than it does nothing.
And off subject how can I numerically number images without going through one by one.

ok sounds like your having problems with the tool

so lets go to the conversion process... what software are you using are u using Gimp thatwas posted with the splash screen post

here....... get a pic.. open up your conversion program find your pic.. convert it to an bmp file with the properties as fallows: size=480x800 do not touch resultion. Bet depth=24 saVE THE FILE as a bmp file named splash.bmp

place the file in the same folder that u extracted the tool to. the click the folder in the same folder that says run this one.. ,, fallow the instructions.. at the end it will have created a new file in there that says splash.img rename it to splash1.img

let me know when the above is done.... and yo dont get discouraged......by the way I poasted this how to.. I just had to change my name..... you will get it though dont give up..

then u will have a screen with two properties.. the lower one we dont touch the top one you will see a chain link click on it it allows you to imput different value for both settings

on the upper portion type in 480 lower 800 hit scale .. then go to file save as.. at the botom of the screen it says file by extention

scrol all the way down to windows bit map..on the right it will say bmp... then a window will pop up just hit save.,..........
