Root The easiest custom splash screen process for all android users

Whats up beastinbolts really appreciate the video I was doing those exact steps except for the part where you go into the folder with the plus and specify but even without doing that process the image would still be 24 bit. So I started from scractch and there has to be something wrong with my computer and the command promt. Because when I start the run me promt it does exacltly what it has been doing. just run through everthing really fast and ends up at the screen where it ask you to press any key to continue. Any idea what it could be.

And another question regarding boot animations. Do you know who to just store file into 7zip and not compress them but turn them into .zip files. This is whats keeping me from being able to install my own video images that I have made to replace the booting animation.

Ya don't use 7zip for boot anamation. Just take the zip file and place it in system/customize/resources. Or system /media for asop roms
 
There is a way to do the splash screen using command line instated of using the tool. I am on my phone but someone may post a link for u if u ask..

Right if you download one but if you make your own and have made png clips out of a video you want to use off youtube than you do have to put into zip format.

Ok I will ask and if no one post than when you can can you post the way of doing it thanks again. But I dont think I will be able to do the command line way. There has to be a reason why this stupid tool isnt working properly. If any body has any ideas please give your info

Be round 12. There. Is an option in 7 zip to set the compression

OK BADASS FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK. I told you the problem was the tool it seems as though the guy who mad this one that I was using had a compadability problem with some xp. I downloaded another one whcih finally made the image.

So now I have my zip folder with both the text and the slpash1.img. I named the folder pc36img.zip. About putting in my phone you said just to drop in the drive right. Meaning when I go to my computer and it shows my the disk drive for my phone put it in there correct.

About the compression on 7zip when I go into options in the program it only gives me this
System Plugins Editor Settings
just gives me Associate 7zip with Integrate 7 zip Show".."item
Show real file icon
Full row select
Show grid lines
Alternative selection mode

I just didnt know what you meant by "Then drag your pc36img file to the drive your phone is using..... it has to be top level of your SD card.....not in any folders"

I dont understand the whole it had to be at the top level of your SD Card.

Not in any folders...root...top level...

OK but SD card is a folder thats whats not making any sense sorry for this ******ed question just want to make sure I get this done right

Ok but I have root where whould I put this because what your telling me that I cant just plug my phone open up the disk drive and drop it in the phone. But If I have root and root explorer cant I just drop in the sd card folder than restart my phone open up root explorer and than go into sd card and move the .zip file to the proper location
 
And another question what step is this I never did this

Dude your killin me. Your sd card is not a file its stores files and some of those files have sub folders. You do not want your image file in any sub folders. Now to download a signed zip means go on 2 xda and download a ready to slash file un zip it to your desktop it will have to splash.in g and a t e x t file .... take to text file and zip it with your splash.

Iam sorry but it just didnt sound correct. OK thats the text file has this info right

Yeah that I already did and already have my pc36img.zip file ready. Ok drop that in to the sd card. Than Iam gong to reboot into bootloader and should be able to change it from there with the on screen instructions right

Instead of plugging in my phone can I do transfer it through FTP through wifi the problem I have is that my comp Iam working on has no working usb drives so I have to use another one which is being used right now.

Ok well that didnt work. I dropped the file in Sd Card and than went to the quick boot app pressed boot loader than it read the sd card and didnt ask me If I wanted to load new splash image

Must be named wrong...PC36IMG EXACTLY, if you have .zip remove it, if you don't, add it

AAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAZZZZZZIIIN Yeah it was .zip.zip It worked thanks for allot for all your help bro sorry about all the noobness lol. Now If I ever needed the stock one back would I just remove the one I just loaded.

Now If could get my boot animations to actually work I would at 120 percent. The only problem Iam having a problem with the zipping of the files. I even downloaded winrar to I can go into the setting to make them store and not compress but they still arnt loading. I either get a black screen or white screen.
