The Ends and Outs of Life

Luna will attest, western and eastern Pennsylvania are two worlds apart. Even eastern Ohio, and western PA are different. Strange things going on. :p

Had a really good weekend with a special lady :)

If this goes the way I believe it will then the natives may be able to relax :)

Well today we have open house at school. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.School officially starts this coming monday and I just hope that I can go through and finish this time. Its been a rough couple of weeks. I've been on a hell of a emotional rollercoaster. With my disease its never easy being on one of those either. My closet and dearest friend has been so great to make time to be available to me even though she is 14 hours ahead of me.

Break a pencil. :D

Well yet another crushing blow :(

Found out yesterday when I got to the place I live that school is going to have to be put on hold as I have to get a job cause the people I stay with are in serious financial trouble. So there goes that idea for a bit anyways. Now I am once again trying to find employment something close as I can walk since I have no transportation. So murphys law continues to haunt the frog :(

is there any way you can still go to school and get a part time job to help out??? at the very least take one class??? I know stuff happens in life and sometimes we need to adjust...but I really think it would be a good idea to at least try to fit in a class or two ...I understand you need to help financially...but....You also need to take care of yourself.:)

Main problem will be getting there no public transportation here in pickerington and the school is 30 miles from me. We are losing a car so now I don't have access. Being new here I don't even know anyone who could take me. Its either going to be alright or it ain't its not in my hands now. I would have to walk about 9 miles to catch a bus that will take me about 3 hours of riding to even get there so it is what it is

yeah that for sure sucks!!! Don't want to stick my nose in.l:rolleyes:

but I'll ramble anyhow...:D

just this once:p

ok so sometimes there are ride shares posted in local stuff if you are near kind of near the college and there are commuters...besides..even one class is usually only 2 times a week 3 at most...so if you can find a class 2 X a week...then it may be less daunting ..also you could possibly strike a deal with them where you do things in kind ...like mowing the lawn...laundry...watch kids if they have them...cook etc...

k I'll zip it now:D:smokingsomb:

I'm sorry, Frogster. This really sucks. :(

I agree with huh, though, about getting a job and taking classes. It may seem like a daunting prospect, but you can do it.

I don't know if this exists in your area yet, but I've used a site called TaskRabbit that's really cool. I've hired from them, but you could work through them. It's a great concept--people post tasks they need done and assign a price they're willing to pay, then sit back and wait for responses. The 'task rabbits' are screened [including a background check], and all payment is handled via the web site, so it's a good, safe way of hooking people up. You're a wise frog! There's much you could do and get paid for, AND you could work things out around classes.

If that's not an option for whatever reason, I'm confident that you can find employment and also crank out some classes.

The school I was planning on going to isn't a traditional college its a compressed fast track school. It is a five day a week course that you take for ten months five hours a day. They got you prepared to take up to five certifications and also you earn a diploma. Anyone knows anything about IT knows that the certifications are everything anymore. There was of course Comptia A+/ N+ And the others Microsoft Windows / Server. Classes are from 5-10 pm. The ride share I have looked into but can't find anyone from this area that is going to the school at that particular hours. The admin lady also looked to see if there was anyone they could find but she had no luck either. So I will just have to concentrate on the Job find and go from there It will either work out where I can go at a later date or it wont. I'm tired of fighting and worrying about it. Seems everytime I try to do something like this a major mountain comes before it and I get screwed so it is what it is anymore. Hopefully I can get a job an a vehicle and make things work out at a later date if not then oh well I will just have a job and never the career i want but i'm used to not getting anything i want so there it is.

Good morning :)
Hey Froggie, maybe you could find a job nearby school, and move there?
Maybe school has an opening? :)

There are some accredited it cert courses online! Cisco oracle and for a fact I know windows server cert! It's done in modules .. Could be a start... Till you figure out how to take the full load at the school Don't give up on your dreams! You may have to take a detour now and then... But eventually.. You'll get there!

I don't plan on giving up. I just need to get some cash flow to help with the transportation issues. I have an interview today so hopefully all goes well and I can get back on course :)
