Root The first, clean deodexed Ascend rom

XDA forum poster, isaacj87 has been working hard in conjunction with Jarred and LG (not the company, another dev) to make the first fully clean and deodexed rom. This rom has been named Icarus and is able to use Apps2SD, 800mhz overclock (the processor in this phone is the same as the palm pixi, which can be overclocked up to 897mhz and has been brought up to as high 1ghz). Currently the rom is nearing completion and will be available in the upcoming days.

so i will finally be able 2 see a Drastic benefit of being rooted now

No one knows anything just yet. Everything is just speculation and wishful thinking!

just a bit of clarification....Icarus is NOT a Froyo based mod. It is also unlikely to include any overclocking at it's initial rlease.

The Froyo-based project that Isaac was developing is something else entirely, and he has passed it off to another dev to play with for now.

Icarus will be optimized though, as Isaac mentioned elsewhere that he has removed a lot of things. I believe he said it only takes up around 68-70MB for the ROM itself.
