The Note8 is already too big for my pocket. I wish they'd kept it to the size of the Note7. Slightly wider would have been better with the edge in my opinion.
Why would anyone beside a woman put a phone in the back pocket (I have no idea why they do it)? You will sit on it and maybe break it.
Exactly my thoughtI'm confused...so if a woman sits down with it in their pocket, it can't break?![]()
Exactly my thought
I think the post might just have been misphrased,
I'm so relieved that my first image was the face, and it took a second for the penny to drop.Softer cheeks? Just speculating here...

I'm seeing reports that the Note 9 will have in-screen fingerprint scanner. AND I'm seeing reports that it won't. I am not seeing a lot of reports that contradict the rumor of a 6.3" 4K UHD display... so I hope that's true! But I'm becoming convinced that maybe Samsung is paying some sites to report misinformation, just to throw us all off the scent...
You'll be pleased to know then, Danny, that the Note9 (now rumored for a July announcement and August release) will have a bigger screen... but in a smaller device. The top and bottom bezels are expected to be nearly non-existent: so you may end up with a smaller phone that's almost all screen.
I also read this evening that Samsung is moving up the release schedules for the Note9 and Galaxy S10 (now due in February!) to make room for a THIRD major release in the Q3 timeframe, right around the holidays. This third annual release will be the Galaxy X: the foldable smartphone Samsung's been working on for years. The rumors right now, however, indicate a device I wouldn't own - a little 3.5" cube with an external screen, and folds open to reveal a 7" screen inside. I suppose that will be great for people who need a very small device for shirt pockets, etc. but a larger screen as desired; the Note already has a 6.4" screen, so it's not worth the money for me. Besides, I'd have to open the phone to scroll my emails. Who would want to do THAT on a 3.5" screen???
Actually, I prefer to put my phone in my FRONT pocket. Just sayin'
BTW I'm surprisingly reconsidering passing over the Note9. It's now rumored to be RELEASED in July, with a much larger battery, Bixby 2.0 (of which I'm cautiously optimistic) and a few decent enhancements. Are any of you considering a move from the Note8 to the Note9?
