Why do people feel the need to come on here and tell everybody that they are getting rid of their evo and switching to another carrier? Do people have such a self inflated sense of ego to that people actually care that Gary32532 with his 5 posts are getting rid of a cell phone? Shit is driving me bonkers.

Those threads drove me nuts after the inc. was released, they'll subside though. it's just a new device with super high expectations, and the fact that the ihpone for was just released is helping feed the frenzy. A lot of the issues and I mean a lot are user error, people just didn't know what they were getting into and they didn't research at all. Too many people make uninformed decisions and that leads to n00bs coming and saying that they hate the device. Give it a month and you'll get your core users and the occasional hate thread.

I'm happy with my Evo. Thankfully it hasn't exhibited issues that others have reported. But more importantly, I understand technology and that quality control isn't what it used to be in ANY INDUSTRY. That being said, there will be lemons and no matter what product you buy, you will have a risk of getting one.
And to the iPhone folks... that's nice that you like your phones, but they're not perfect and free of problems. Do a quick Google search and you'll find old articles about a variety of launch issues that different iPhone iterations experienced, just like we Evo users are experiencing.

I blame crap like twitter and facebook... If you actually use these services with your actual freinds that's fine, but the services themselves want you to interact with whomever, whenever, wherever and when your conditioned like this you walk around thinking people actually want to hear everything you say.
Now with Gary32532's post we can only assume he suffers from this phenomenon or he's simply trolling... I'm going with option "C" he's both a troll and suffers such extreme narcissism and we compound this by the fact he doesn't even have an EVO... just my $0.02 thanks for stopping by

I just find it comical. Alot of these kids just create accounts to troll this site. Most of them never even held an EVO. Verizon and Apple are not even paying these fools.

I got my evo and then returned it 6 days later due to battery life. I live in the sticks and if I get stranded with no working phone I am looking foward to about few hours walk before I hit civilization otherwise greatest phone out now.

If you get stranded in the sticks you'd do well to turn off all the radios that you don't need and turn off Mobile Network (hold power button down for a couple seconds). When I've done that to see how the battery life is overnight it pretty much hasn't moved. When it's just functioning as a phone instead of a walkabout netbook the battery life is really really really good.
SF: I've only used about 61MB somehow while streaming last.fm pretty nonstop at work, watching some youtube videos, and browsing regularly. That (now obsolete) 5GB glass ceiling is pretty hard to attain without tethering. Maybe I'll try harder for it next month.

Just curious, how much data have people used since getting their Evo? You can check it on your sprint.com account page.
I've used 1.3GB since getting my Evo
The Sprint site say's I've only used about 24 MBs so far, which cant be right because I've definitely used about 600 MBs just from tethering the phone to my computer to test out the speed with some torrents.

Yep, I thought the words 4g would tip them off that I wasnt looking for the hero. But my sweetness arrived exactly 24 hrs from hitting submit order so life is good.
