Yes Virginia, there is 4G in Richmond,VA. Got this sitting in my office, Aluminum siding and plaster walls may have affected speed a bit, it's only a little faster outdoors.

Random question:

Am I the only one who has never had to return a phone because of some problem?

I see people complaining about things from light leakage to dust under the screen to the screen coming apart and I really feel like I'm in the minority at times. People weree having issues with the original Instinct too, but that thing lasted me two years without a single issue.

*raises hand*

Maybe I've been lucky, but I don't know. Never had an issue with... 3 different Treo's... any of my old Nextel's... my Touch Pro... even my Pre, which was notorious for hardware defects!

When I just pressed on the back cover slightly, I heard a very slight "creek" from it - I think I'm going to return it and get an iPhone 4.

I'm all wrapped up in the iphone 4 media blitz. I can preorder today, ya know. Not in white though. And their system has crashed. iFanboy meltdown in full swing.

Well my EVO took its first tumble last night. It was 2 am and I was getting out of crew cab pickup that was pretty high. I completely forgot I had my phone on my lap and it was pitch black so i couldn't even see it. Next thing I know I hear my phone first hitting the sidestep bar and then the floor. This is exactly why I have a case and screen protector, no scratches or anything.

Body Glove from Sprint :o The thing is a champ, I like how the front has a lip around it so the screen doesn't make contact if it lands face-forward on flat ground.

I dropped mine from maybe 2 feet onto a counter this weekend, right on the camera lens. I nearly cried, but all is well.

Did a little piece of your heart die when you heard it hit?
When I heard it hit the ground I'm not going to lie, my heart stopped a little. But I figured the case would protect it and sure enough when I got to some light and examined it, nothing was wrong. The bottom right corner of the case was a little separated which is where I'm guessing it took the impact of the fall. I just snapped it back into place.

Nope not a scratch on the case that I can see. If everyone really wants to know I'll break into the science department at my college and use one of their microscopes :p

I know our front page says swype tomorrow, but I just clicked on the link and get your butts over there and get your legit version.... I was able to send myself a link just a few moments ago!!!

Well aside from my glass separation which I fixed thanks to blake. http://androidforums.com/support-tr...se-bottom-screen-separating-6.html#post940494

The Phone is freakin amazing best phone I have ever had. I have been so obsessed with it that the wife now wants a divorce. LOL, well not that bad but you get my point. She's like saying "why dont you just make love with your phone" I just might I said? LOL.

I came from WinMO and I had an app that used your GPS to control your ringer profiles. You could actually tag your place of work and when you got to work it would automatically put it on silent or vibrate. It was kick ass. Do any of you guys know if Android has anything similar? I tend to forget to adjust my ringer and I sometimes get in minor trouble at work.
