The idiot test

A man, dressed all in black (including a black scarf covering his face) and wearing black glasses walks down an unlit street. A car comes towards him, with no lights on, but the driver sees the man and stops in time to avoid hitting him. How does the driver know the man is there?

He knew where the scene was.

One thing will give you butterfly each and every time without fail. What is it?

Speaking of... These were outside on my milkweed plants and the chrysalis was on a chive

The Trolley Problem: A trolley caris heading towards where a group of five people are crossing, . You are standing by a switch, and can divert the trolley onto another track, where it will kill only one person. But if you do nothing, the trolley will kill all five.

What would you do?

Yell a warning, not risk the unintended consequences of the unknowns by altering the planned route of the trolley. Besides, if idiots are on the trolley tracks, then, whelp, Darwin and all that.

That's the standard response, but there is a third possibility ouside the specifics of the problem.

Throw the switch halfway which would either stop the trolley or derail it between the aforementioned parties

Throw the switch halfway which would either stop the trolley or derail it between the aforementioned parties
Again that introduces risk of the unknown such as the trolley continuing on a path unencumbered by rails into a far larger crowd or causing some other calamity.

Well, being that I do believe in Darwinism, and I also believe the world is overpopulated anyway, I would likely throw the switch as the first wheels pass so the car goes sideways and takes 'em all out

I finally looked that one up because I had to give up and found there is no actual right answer, however my answer WAS a variation of another answer out there

I actually hadn't thought of that one but a liar can still answer a question truthfully, if they so desire
