More importantly, how is the quality of the pics, not just how quickly it can take the pics.

I didn't time the camera app startup time, but it was much faster than my DX, I know that. My DX can take from 5 to 10 seconds sometimes. I'd say the RAZR took maybe 2 to 3 seconds from icon click to shutter click.

Why are we nit pickin' the camera? We should be figuring out if it's a good phone. My Original Droid was OK, but, the phone was horrible. It's suppose to be a phone 1st, camera, Net access, mp3 player, etc. 2nd.
I have checked out most reviews and little is mentioned about the PHONE.

For you maybe, but this may not be the case for many. First, I completely understand what you're saying and where you're coming from. However, for me personally, making calls is not the #1 use/thing I do with my phone anymore. I rarely use minutes anymore, as texting everyone has taken over that. Not sure when that happened!!!! Using the web is probably #2, then maybe #3 for calls....followed by watching videos, taking pics, and shooting videos.
