Root The LG Optimus M Quadrant Score Thread!!!

SetCPU - 768 Max, 245 Min

My first try got 970, then 996.


This is the lowest score I've gotten so far

how do you guys get such high scores im in the 450-510 mark i think 512 was the highest i got. tried switching roms did the teamchicken rom now im on sense rom i have not gotten any change in score, i also tried making a theme as stated here but no difference i have my setcpu at 768 max 245 min i can run at 787 but it is not as stable.
i do not have many apps installed or running while i do the test. any input is appreciated, thanks
 
Decided to try this out on my phone. I am using CPU Master Free v1.7 ('cause it's free) and have my max set at 748.8 and my min set at 245.76. I'm running APlus's 2.2 v1.1 ROM. Not bad for very little tinkering on my part:

Wow pretty surprise with my score.

I`m running a Cm7 Rom compile by myself. The actual speeds are: min 245mhz and max 748mhz. Set to performance. And below is my score.

My score is 1089. What i've done is made a ext 3 partition for my sd card and moved all my user apps and dalvik cache to that. Cleaned cache from my internal memory ( if you use alot of internal memory it slows down your phone ) i have 190mb free out of 210mb. Set cpu is at 748max & 245min.

That's great. I can't wait to try that rom out. We really appreciate all the HARD WORK you guys do for us. You guys make having a Optimus M fun.

What rom are you using? and do you have your wifi and GPS turned off ( it helps with the score when turned off, at least that's what I've noticed ). I'm using Aplus rom and i just ran a test and got 1075. try turning your phone off then back on to let your new settings work. then run the test at least twice

wow, i cant think of what could be slowing down your phone, the only other thing that i have is a sd card booster app. i dont know if it help but it wont hurt to have. it makes the phone read the sd card faster. i'm sorry i couldn't help :confused:
 
Man, I had scores over 1000 as seen above, and now I can't get better than somewhere around 550. It's OK though, because everything works on my phone as compared to before. :D

do you think that it may be the sense rom update? cause on the old sense rom i averaged above 1000. i haven't tried the new one yet.the Aplus rom has been working good for me and i average 1070 to 1080. i think the person i was trying to help with their scores is using that new sense rom and was getting 550.

it think it might be the rom it self, cause someone else just said their getting low scores too with the new sense rom. i dont know if you want to try another rom but i'm using Aplus 2.2 and its working great ( no bugs ). or you can try the romzerofinal. that's a good one too, and i have a copy of the old sense rom before the last update that works great.

I believe it's something related to the update, but it's important to note: the new update, ***everything works***. Previously, bluetooth had rampant issues, usually force closing settings, and DivX VOD registration didn't work either. It was due to problems arising with modifying the original settings.apk. There's some sort of encryption that gets ruined when you change it in the slightest--the previous sense rom had some pretty freakin' sweet icons in it, and so does this new one, but not as many. The ones that are missing now that were in the old one are icons within Settings.apk if I'm not mistaken, and just that minor change caused the above issues. Going back to stock Settings fixed the problem, but I now also observe lower quadrant scores. Related? possibly/probably. Am I worried about it, considering everything works? Not particularly.

You can hardly call quadrant scores that are still higher than stock a "bug". The new sense rom is a superb one. I'm sure Aplus's rom and the Zero rom are great, but they are 2.2 roms, which requires anyone with 2.2.1 to first downgrade to 2.2 if they want to use them, which is a pain in the ass. Those roms are geared towards users who already have the older 2.2

yep i agree, scores don't matter, its how the phone performs during regular use. I wasn't saying that it might be a bug, but since the guy was asking about scores, i was suggesting that maybe different roms may make you have different scores. :-)
 
oh ok got ya.
i tried the chicken rom was nice and clean but also had same scores, thats why i tried sense . i tried the cm7 it was ok real buggy though and never tested quadrant scores on that one. that is true as long as the phone works thats always a plus but i just wanted to see 4 digit scores :D and im on 2.2.1 so i couldnt try the other roms
