Yup, you said the same thing when iPhone 3G vs Nexus One.... then you said the same iPhone 3GS vs Galaxy S... now you're saying the same thing about iPhone 4 vs Gingerbread... whatever dude. Not arguing pointless topics, the iPhone outsells any android device 10,000 to 1, but that's not the point. Part of a user experience is ease of use. If you want an android, fine, you don't have to wait in a line wrapped around the mall to get one, so more power to ya.

This thread is about to be locked, I'm sure, so I'll just say this. Android outsells the iPhone currently about 3 to 2. The iPhone (and pretty much all Apple products) have a HUGE launch day, but after that, sales are pretty slow. The iPhone 4 sold 1.5 million units on launch day, but only averaged 130 thousand units per day the next 90 days. Android is up to 300 thousand activations per day now?

That said, I don't think marketing says a damn thing about how good something is. Also, in regards to your previous post, I can't figure out how to do much of anything on OSX. In terms of how a computer actually functions, OSX is extremely backwords.

Right. Clearly you're delusional.

yeah, that doesn't equate to marketshare. I buy every new device thats out, which means I've had 30 android activations in the last 2 years, and TWO apple iphones. I'm done arguing this ridiculousness.

I'll shut up if you give me some of that money you spend on all those new devices :)

What happened when you went to the lynnwood store? I haven't had a bad experience with them so far. Purchasing the phones was a pretty smooth experience. They tried to sell the extended service plan, but the girl wasn't pushy about it.
I hate that store, I will never go there again especially for mobile. I was at marysville bestbuy and I was the only one there. When I left with my 2 S's at 830 there still wasn't anyone else, lol.

This has gone a bit off topic, but I'd be sporting an iphone too if I didn't have to send money to ATT. I've probably had 4-5 iphones and a handful of Androids phones.

The keyboard on the 1st gen iphone is still better than gingerbread. There is no comparison. Apple will always lead and people will wrap around buildings to be first to get one. Without Apple, Android and the phone developers would have to create things themselves. People want simplicity. This is why the new Windows phone was dead before it launched. RIM is next on the chopping block.

I hope there is a day when then can leapfrog Apple. IMO, the Nexus S was a cheap and inexpensive way to start the who pay from your phone thing here in the states.

I had a bad experience there on black Friday and management just said too bad even though the error was their fault.

Then dealing with mobile the couple of times I have been in there they are just not as helpful as other best buys. I normally have outstanding customer service at best buy which is one of the reasons I spend several thousand dollars there every year instead of other stores. If it was up to lynnwood best buy I would have been stuck with my mytouch 4g but marysville best buy told me lynnwood was wrong and actually said they are stupid there and they hear a lot of complaints about that store's policies. Maybe you just got one of the better mobile reps, they all can't be bad right?

With regards to Google's idea of marketing and comparing to the Nexus One, I still haven't seen anything of it in the UK.

Sure if you go to the Carphone Warehouse site there is a small square on the homescreen about the Nexus S - but no attention grabbing adverts on the TV or any where else that I have seen.

Good phone or not, I don't think it will sell by the truck load. Another phone for Android lovers in the know in my opinion.

Anyway, just ordered mine. UK Carphone Warehouse where I live hasn't had the delivery yet though, maybe tomorrow...

I love the fact that it's not being advertised. Unlike iphone owners I don't want to be in a place and see 10 other cult members with my exact phone. I love the fact that even to this day when ever I whip out my unbranded nexus 1 people are like "what kind of phone is that? Is that like a Droid or something? What carrier is that on; wow"?

I work in the restaurant buisness and at the bar literally every one in front of me is wielding iPhones its disgusting! Their literally like a cult. Sure I see the occasional android every now and again but every one is mainly carrying Steve jobs semen stains.

Sorry that's just not me I'm happy this isn't getting main stream press. I'm glad to see all the reviews are excellent and when I pick mines up this week ill be comforted by the fact I own something that's rare.

Its the feeling you get when you see 8 other people with your same car in one day vs. 1.

In the last 5 months I've only personally seen 2 other nexus 1 owners (Bentley)
I see iphone owners EVERYDAY (well built Honda's)
