It looks like Google is not in a hurry to create a Google Drive client for the Linux community. As usual, we have to hack our own clients.
Thanks to Dan Nanni, there is a HowTo on doing it!
How to mount Google Drive on Linux - Linux FAQ
There are official Linux clients for Dropbox, I'm not sure about Skydrive. Since it's a MS product, we know how much MS hate competition, it may not be a client! That's one I'd not tried before!
While we're on the subject of cloud storage, what about Skydrive and Dropbox?
I'm not very good with networking but Moody or someone else should be alone to offer more help.I have a small issue. My network is not working. I was able to get it when I had internet. Now that I dont have internet it seems not to work. I have static Ip addresses to the servers. Both running Samba and I have Samba Client installed.
Well its not a channel change problem I've discovered as my ubuntu (12.04) machine works fine in the same place, same with my android device.
This is exactly what happens:
-I boot the machine up
-it connects to the network for about a minute
-it all of a sudden seems to not find the network, even though the machine right next to it shows full strength along with previously showing full strength on my "problem" system.
Lshw -C network shows:
*-network

Sorry if that doesn't make sense. I had to take type it from my phone as well I'm or able to connect with the machine right now lol
Help would be fantastic

This and the other errors you've posted suggest that you don't have correct permission/access to the device. But beyond that, I really don't have any ideas.Tried ext4magic:
Code:dngrsone@Dads ~/Downloads/ext4magic-0.3.1 $ ext4magic /dev/sda5 -a 1381960800 /dev/sda5 Error 13 while opening filesystem ext4magic : EXIT_SUCCESS

dngrsone@Dads ~ $ sudo umount /dev/sda5
[sudo] password for dngrsone:

 I make fun of Ubuntu Forums quite a bit, even though I used to be very active there. But they're just so...ridiculous in certain ways. Trust me, there really ARE very knowledgeable people over there, but the overall problem is the tendency to A) chastise people as if they're four years old and clueless, B) veer off onto something not at all related to a clearly stated issue, and, C) tell the person that the non-related response really DOES have some correlation with the question they're asking (when it absolutely does NOT). Anyway...well im finally going to ask HERE since ubuntuforums is apparently less knowledgable than people here on the same operating system.
I have about 20 minutes experience with Lubuntu. I installed it while trying lightweight distros on my old laptop--but discarded it quickly. I know it connected to my wireless network, but that's all I can say about it. Have you tried logging in with something else? (Whatever's available to you--perhaps Ubuntu Fail Safe or whatever else is in your list of choices.) You can also try installing Xfce or LXDE (or KDE ), and then see what happens when you log in with them. If the problem persists...well, let's leave that for later.its a HP G7 Lubuntu 13.10:

That's irrelevant. Now that you have Lubuntu installed, just use Synaptic (which you can install if it isn't there by default) to install Ubuntu, Kubuntu, or any of several other *buntus, as well as Xfce and LXDE.Well, I would have installed standard ubuntu, but like i said i didnt have a big enough cd.
Exactly.and i totally agree 100% with your perspective of ubuntu forums. They close my threads when i have a new topic from the same problem (i.e. new altercations) and keep persisting that its my router, when now, i am connected to the internet with the problem pc with a tethered device using that same router.
PAH!

Exactly.
Of course. Fire up Synaptic, and put 'kubuntu' in its search box. Then 'ubuntu' and 'lubuntu' and so on. Observe the software packages that appear in the list.Wait, you can literally install a distro from a distro?
At a prompt:You mean I can get standard ubuntu? How do I get synaptic???
sudo apt-get install synaptic
Chrome runs as root i just had to hack the file again. and no, it shows properly until the 'whirly thing' goes away then flashes and after that it's all off the screen
Happens on the MacBook as well. apparently a Chrome and Firefox (and Safari) bug

I use the Dropbox Linux client, and while it certainly works (as in runs just fine), it definitely has its quirks. I posted a [typically long-winded ] rundown on my DB adventures somewhere in this thread. There are official Linux clients for Dropbox...
