Root The New Stock++ 2.3.6 (ROM) Updated links 4/27/13

THANK YOU! Even though this is a stock rom, overclocked to 900mhz is cool!

Now I did one other thing. I created a Ext3 Linux file 1.0gb and a Swap file of the same size.

Nice and responsive! Thanks again to the developers! Cheers!

You wasted 1 gb of space on swap. This kernel doesnt support it, unless you made one that does. Just thought you should know, you can use 1 gb in a better way

I agree, but I have this, CM7 and OA2.3 on my SD card, plenty of options lol

please help i did as instructed and it says cant mount /cache/recovery
cant open /cache/log
My CWM is v5.0.2.7 on my admire

it also says failed to mount /dev/block/
cant unlink /cache/recovery/
 
Re-install the cwm recovery 5.0.2.8, since this a Ext4 based rom..
wipe data/factory reset
Format system
Install zip from SDCARD
Choose zip
Locate & select
Then from there you should be OK!

Download using your PC ... then power off your device completely and hold on to the back key,volume down key and power button to boot into recovery ... from there head to mounts and storage and select mount USB and plug your device in and transfer the file
 
I was using an outdated version of Stock++, and it may be just be because I'm starting off fresh but my Admire is now speeding. I wanted to reset this to near-stock defaults before moving to my new device and I was glad I went with Stock++.

You mean the original stock++ rom by req? It's not outdated. I'd still use that one over this one, but that's just my personal preference.

It might've been Requisite's ROM. I'm not sure anymore, to be honest. I know this ROM is very snappy though - and it's quite nice to see the original 2.3.6 ROM changes integrated into this. I was completely surprised by the lockscreen. I'm still trying to finish merging any changes I had in my last ROM - and then I'll probably shut off my Admire for awhile to work with my soon-arriving Xperia Play.

I wish I had an xperia phone to sort of kinda replace my psp.
 
Any ideas on why the only browser I can get to work is dolphin mini any. Other browser I try acts like there is no internet connection
 
Can I install this without resetting anything so that I can keep all of my data/apps? Or I have to clear everything?

You always have to wipe everything just incase. Or you can make a backup of your current rom and advanced restore data
 
I did everything as mentioned but this bricked my phone so I had restore CWM using odin then restore my back up. I had the same problem amarie posted.
 
U koodnt have n if u did u probably was tapping too fast Kuz I followed directions n it worked for me also try partitioning your SD card it will help wit oc Tom's!
