Fingerprints, fingerprints! All over the screen! I've only had this thing 2 months and can just barely even see anything now!

At this rate this POS will be unusable by the ti....

Oh, wiped it off. It's OK now.

Never mind.:D

Thanks for my first laugh of the day!

I don't know why no one has started selling these in electronics stores (at least not around here that I've seen), but these are good for lots more than glasses:

Amazon.com: Bausch & Lomb Pre-Moistened Lens Cleaning Tissues, Box Of 100 - Packaging May Vary: Health & Personal Care

I use one every morning to clean my glasses, my phone, and my Nexus 7 (which pretty much exhausts the poor little wipe).

Hmmm i may have to get those.... i run out of clean shirts often to wipe all those things with myself :P

Microfiber cloths work great. Mine are from a pack I bought last summer to dry my motorcycle with. Keep one on my desk at work and one next to my chair at home. Give the screen a little breath moisture and wipe away. Those fingerprints and smudges drive me absolutely crazy.

Am I safe in assuming that this could be the only place on the internet I can admit, without people thinking I'm weird, that I left the wrapping plastic on my Nexus7 since I got it on Saturday till today when the case and screen protector arrived just so I could avoid fingerprints? ;-)

Greetings from a new Nexus owner.
Peace.

Welcome to AF, KickOutTheJams! Congrats on your new Nexus! No shame in your admission at all. When I get a new phone, but am waiting on the screen protector and case, I put it in a ziploc bag before slipping it in my pocket, so I don't scratch it.

Thank you for the welcome AntimonyER and I am glad to hear I'm not the only one who'll go to such lengths to protect a gadget from scratches.
Usually I get a screen protector and case at the same time but I slipped up this time.
My Desire HDs screen has never been touched and my GS3s screen was "naked" for about a minute.
Most people just think I'm nuts ;-)

Nope. We think you're weird! :smokingsomb:

You saying the plastic wrapper comes off?

Anyone find that the microfiber cloths leave loads of microfiber threads all over the cleaned surface?

Lol I think I'm in the minority here when I say I instantly take off the plastic wraps because I feel like I'm not fully enjoying it. I must be crazy lol

When I get a new phone I use the screen plastic as a makeshift screen protector as long as it lasts. :)

So what's wrong with spitting on the screen and wiping it off with your handkerchief?

I took this one off in a second too, like a kid opening a Christmas present :D
But to be fair this plastic was quite clunky and would probably feel like a hindrance using the tablet. When there's a small film over the screen I usually leave it on too until it starts to look bad.
