So I’m in the garage today and my wife opens the door from the house, sees me and asks what I’m doing. I tell her (it’s something she asked me to do, thankfully!) and she says, “Oh, okay” (then some other stuff) and closes with “let’s keep this door closed, it’s hot in the garage.”
I’m my head I answered, “Yep, that’s why I closed it when I came out here, though I’m not sure why you’re standing there holding it open.”
Since I have a filter, what came out was, “Yes, dear, I agree.”

Tried that once, she spoke up alright ... the jar meant for the back of my head told me there was new bruise developing on the back of my neck.
