My Evo V 4G came via Fedex today. And after struggling to activate it, it is up and running. I haven't done much yet though.

After I installed a few apps, here is what i can tell you;

Speedtest: I average 1mb~ up, and just under 1mb down on 3g, I can't seem to pick up 4g at my house, but it is still faster than my Triumph. Ping; 120ms~

Figured out how to take a screenshot. Sorry this is a huge image.

Quadrant: CPU; 2408, Mem; 2359, I/O; 3592, 2D; 357, 3D; 1856

Things I think are cool:
CHROME BETA!
Data usage monitor built in.
More to come.
GPS appears to be faster.

I did find a quirk; when you turn off auto rotate the screen is flipped upside down. No idea why. If anyone comes up with a solution, post it.

If there is anything else you want me to look into, let me know. :D

Lucky you. Ordered mine from Rat Shack yesterday. They don't even have the phone on their website anymore!

Can you even see 3D picture on here? No right? Well if not screen shots maybe?

That'd be cool!!!! Get us hyped up a bit!!! ^>^

HBOOT version:

Pull battery and reinstall, hold vol down while turning the phone on. you will then be in hboot and you should see the text hboot somewhere on there and a number beside it. hopefully it is 1.50

Can you please try the gps to see if it locks on faster than our triumphs? Thanks good luck and have fun with your new phone.

If you want fast GPS, try flashing the Ginger Sharp ROM. Locks on in 5 seconds or less and I can get a lock inside buildings. Make sure to enable Assisted GPS.

I added some things.

I will try it.

I need to go to work. I will add more things later.

believe it or not, i actually was one of the few that didn't have a gps issue while owning the triumph.my wife on the other hand...i was asking in regards to the many owners who had an issue and wanted to see if the evo v would be better.thanks for the advice though.one other thing does it have a fm radio?not sure why i would use it but my old evo 4g did. thanks again.

do you have good 4G coverage in your area?

Got mine today too. It has Sprint branding but has the VM interface and firmware. I'll edit my post with pics soon.

FYI: I got it in store at a Radio Shack and they got it from the back, it wasn't on the shelves yet either... ;)
