They choose me too. I really let it rip. I feel bad for the people who didn't know what they were doing. It really wasn't the workers fault. That huge mess was due to decisions made all the way at the top tier level of that company.

When they asked why I was dissatisfied and what I'd suggest to change it, I basically said this: "Your company needs to have clearer policies and standards of processing. They should be informed of a status in a customers account immediately and without unnecessary delay. Customer service representatives should have clear understandings of any and all situations. Proper communication between levels of management and lower tier employees should be priority. This will prevent multiple calls and dissatisfied consumers.".

So yeah. Brash? Perhaps. To the point and honest? Definitely.

On a positive note... I'm hoping I'll be saying "Got mine" today. Though it's more likely I'll see it Monday.

Can't seem to browse to the second page of this thread, maybe this will do it ...

EDIT: Yep, that did it. How strange.

I agree that this launch has been anything but smooth, but I think that we're all trying to shoot the messenger. Virgin promised so many units on such and such date and clearly didn't deliver. Unfortunately for all of us RS doesn't have the ability to control vendors actions except by not dealing with them in the future. I can almost promise you that we won't be seeing preorders for VM phones on RS again unless they physically have them in hand first.

I think if they had just said to us that they are having difficulties due to limited stock and that the pre-orders couldn't be filled, Not so many of us would of become so irate. Not once did they explain any situation to me. Instead only telling me that they didn't know or would get back to me.

If I forsee a difficulty with having stock, I explain it to my customer. I don't give them the runaround. Nor do I give them different confusing and conflicting answers.

I think there was more to blame here than just Radio Shack but the terrible lack of useful information only heightened it. I really feel they should have handled this more efficiently and with better communication.

Just called several Best Buy's in the DC area and none of them had it in store or knew when they were going to get it - only taking pre orders.

Just got mine, not even activated yet. Chicago People, RS in Montgomery IL has 1 left.

RS Rep said that Sprint came in and pulled all their Evo 3D's from the shelves a few weeks ago so that would explain why the phones we have say Sprint, re flashed Sprint Evo 3D's.

I wonder if in a few months, VM will release EVO V's that say VM on the back.

Either way, people around Chicago, give Montgomery a call

Just got mine in Orlando Fl. At the Florida Mall on OBT. AT radio shack, the guys there are really nice. They had them in the back and went back and found them for me. It was also listed in stock online for there store.

Did I read that it only has 1gb of built-in memory instead of 4gb? And yes, I know it has 1gb of RAM.

Just like every other phone in existence that runs sense ;) It does have 4gb of internal storage just so you know. The thing is only 1gb is accessible to the user to install apps. :)

Got it, and already problems. Three hours and Virgin can't activate it properly. And also figured that some "buttons" in the top right are inaccessible. When I touch it, only the drawer wants to open. If you want to see for yourself, try to tap the clock, go to international, and try to hit the + button to add a city. I can't do it. Anyone else with this problem?

My x button works without any issues.

Just got back from the store with my new phone, in case any Chicago landers were wondering, the spring hill mall RadioShack in west Dundee has a bunch of them in stock right now. Activation went without a hitch, only took like 15 minutes, and if you buy a 16 gb memory card with the phone it was only $10.65 extra..... happy hunting ;-)

Oh. P.s. mine is sprint branded as well.

The Radio shack in Langley Park, MD (Montgomery County) outside of DC has 4. The location is on 1141 University Blvd. You have to ask them to look in the back. That's the only location that I've found in the area. I picked mine up at 4. I was the first to get 1/5.

Good Luck

Yep but the partition Being huge I called a month ago on another forum.. 1gigs all I need.. The reception and bars on 3G are on par with the OV's performance in the same area.. We have very light 4G have not got any in My location but a mile away it exists have not tried it yet.. Had a force close and reboot from moving things around but this handset appears to be in great shape..

Headphones worked awesome camera works..no3d yet but it is a 3D screen and you can see them fine /w samples provided.. and she's been purring away since.. Start up animation is good with htc first then VM gets a shot in there with a short clip of some young ppl having a blast dancing soo hoo.. Other than that this handset has no VM branding on it just htc and sprint.. Battery burn is about what you would expect..

They neutered it a little but not enough to matter to anyone other than a android freak.. And they are working on a fix to that as we speak.. Best as I can tell I have a stock evo 3d with a HTC VM branded working is all that changed on mine.. I suspect the next gen will be like the new OV and less than its 1st gen counterpart imo.. I am totally happy with this handset and I wish you all the same.. The root guys are who I want to hear from on this handset.. I don't tether but for $15 bucks I could.. It's in there and pay for Movies like other services that if you activate it you have to use a cc..
