:mad:I've been having a looksee on the Admire thread here at Android Forums and i must say... I'm very disappointed in the fact that no one is willing to tKethe time to read a little or do some research to answer their own questions. Heck, most of the questions asked were already answered 3 or 4 times when asked. I've managed to root my phone, install cwm recovery, flash Admiral Beast, change every single icon, overclock and change my boot animation and shut down animation simply by reading. you people should learn to use google and xda... everything you need to do anything you want is right in front if your faces. all you have to do is look

Wow.. what a first post! I want to warmly welcome you to Android Forums! :) I'm glad you were able to get what you needed. :)

Let me explain a couple of things for you about Android Forums, so you'll understand how things work regarding topics/questions and searching. Firstly, we are a very newbie friendly site and take pains to keep it that way. We also have a search engine that's not exactly the best, so we encourage questions, especially from newbies. Additionally, we warn/infract and ultimately ban people who are rude to newbs. (It's all in the site rules and we encourage everyone to read them. The link is in my signature, fyi.)

Secondly, some folks don't have the time or don't even know enough tech stuff to be able to know what questions to ask. It's great that you are able to navigate so well. Well done! :) Others, myself included two years ago, would find this place and rooting info. quite confusing and daunting. I am grateful for the wonderful members who held my hand and took me through the process. I am now one of your more experienced root users and I pass on the help to others. That's in my signature. "Pay help forward". That's why it's there. I was helped so I desire to help.

I'm going to lock this thread for two reasons. Firstly, I believe I've addressed your issue fully and secondly, I don't see the purpose in leaving it open as the tone of it can discourage newbies.

However, I do want to welcome you, again, and encourage you to become a contributing member here! Thank you!

Steven.
