I have a cousin that lives in Bloomfield, NJ. I am from Long Island, NY originally.

I had a family vacation to NYC on may or 07 that included me, my brother and sister, mom and dad. I haven't been on a plane since then. I wonder how much of a hassle it will be to deal with TSA now that I wear a prosthetic...

Bloomfield is only about 20 minutes from me.
TSA is a pain in the arse period. I would imagine that a note from your doctor combined with the wand they sometimes use would be sufficient to get you through their security.

It is getting to the point where despite the higher cost, it would be worth chartering a private plane to fly where you want to go. The benefits include, a much easier check in, you fly into a smaller airport that is often closer to where you want to go, and it is impossible to be late for a plane that won't leave without you. LOL

So how do you spend your days, if you don't mind my asking, CG?

right now just doing what I can around the house while trying to improve my over all fitness to where the prosthetic will not be as much of a pain to do certain things. I want to ride my bicycle again (I have a mountain bike with suspension shocks), but I cant fully peddle it, the prosthetic does limit how far I can bend that leg, and I can't flex the ankle on that foot.

Just the prosthetic place where I got my, as my nephew calls it, "my robot leg". I see them for checkup on how it is working and how well it is fitting.

I see my regular doctor, but no therapist. Don't think I really need one or the expense. My Mom is a nurse and I do have some exercise equipment that I can use.
