The Tablet Tavern

I don't remember if I ever said it here before but like RG, I too recently found a job. It's a staff position with job rotation for one year before permanent placement. The starting salary is low but the benefits are nice. I start next year after my vacations.

It is still good that you have employment though.

I hope to get back to the work I loved doing. Despite dealing with the idiotic ideas that came out of upper management, I got satisfaction troubleshooting an alarm or networked access control or CCTV system (especially the fancy digital IP ones), that many of the other techs couldn't handle. Also, getting paid to set off a fire alarm and not get in trouble for doing it, was quite nice LOL...
 
I'll cross my fingers for ya, CG. I just hate all the red tape here. Marks of a developing country. Even if we are already investment grade, only the wealthy are benefiting.
 
If we get the snow they are calling for today we will have already had more snow before the first day of winter than all of last winter.

Maybe I should take up skiing?
