Happy weekend sleepy Tavern. 
Today's projects: making some wintergreen scented soap and spelt bread. Do some cleaning (the microwave is a disaster) and likely grab lunch in a bit out. Wife is still away visiting her parents so trying to stay busy.

Ugh. I have Jury Duty on Monday.
Local or federal?
I have had both happen to me before, but I never actually get selected for a jury. The line of work I do is on the side of law enforcement, and I got to know people like US Marshals, while doing service calls. I guess the lawyers don't feel I would not make a good juror.
Federal was annoying as it was an on call for a month thing. I had to call them and let them know I was out of the state for part of it and would not be available.

Last time I was selected for grand jury and didn't realize until a couple days before that it can be 30+ days of service! 
Sent an email to the judge saying how hard of a grievance it'd be on me not being paid and the put me on petit. Was never called and they let us go early.

Got both the kids Nexus7's for Christmas.
100% love Santa for the complete suprise gift. Neither one asked for a tablet, but it was the biggest hit.
Now I need to go read up on rooting these things.

They pay a whopping $9 a day plus parking.
Yeah, that pay is a total joke. Luckily ADT would pay me my normal pay while on jury duty, but many smaller places don't. The previous place I worked woukd only give the time off, as required by law.

I had an interesting dinner. It was left over night. I took some of my homemade Mac&cheese (made with a bit of salsa and Velveeta cheese and turkey spam) and mixed in some left over chili. I guess you can call it cheesy chili mac.. It tasted good.
Ha ha, talk about ingenuity. You were like MacGyver in the kitchen were you?

Yep, I've used both the regular version and the HD one which is tablet optimized. Honestly, on my Nexus 7, I prefer the regular one which is just blown up. When I have my Transformer, I'd use the HD version (though usually just the browser).
