The Tablet Tavern

Good afternoon everyone, it is a bit cooler today at 55 degrees. Had my Nephrology Dr appointment today. Kidney function is better, and got new blood pressure medicine prescription.

Going to our restaurant with the wife and a friend tonight. Should be nice but damn, they only have a 5:30 or 8:45 opening when I tried to get a res. last week. Got the latter and hoping I don't fall asleep on my food! :o

Order something soft, just in case. ;)

Taste test tonight for sister's wedding reception. Excited for good food :p

We actually only tried two caterers for our wedding. It was very obvious which one we were going with too. ;)
The lady does tastings all the time with potential clients since she works in catering so it was fun having her there with ours. :)

Sorry to hear. I am trying to keep my sugar down to help keep kidneys working okay. I am almost 8 pounds lighter, so my diet changes are working, and that will help me.

i have to keep up with my blood pressure meds and my Heart meds, i didn't really take my meds like i was supposed to but after the Heart Attack it changed my mind for me

My blood pressure always goes up when at the doctors office. That would be because I don't like being there.. Taking medications is a necessary evil as far as I am concerned. If it wasn't for the my insurance helping on the cost, I couldn't afford a lot of it.

Lucky I work far a medical insurance place and have their insurance or I would be the same way myself.

Yeah, some of the prices they charge for medications are insane. One refill of a prescription would have been 380 plus dollars without my insurance. I had to have my pharmacy correct its insurance listing on that one.

Not just medications but everything else health care related. In the past couple years with our .gov sticking their nose in health care my cost has tripled.
