The Tablet Tavern

I like that my boss let's me play Pandora while working. Makes working more enjoyable.

I usually use Google All Access in the bakery, sometimes Rhapsody. :)
And, for whatever reason, we have a TV with cable that we don't use often. I've left my Chromecast there too if we want to watch a YT or Netflix. ;)

Watching TV at work?? We do that, if there's a game on. Even if we have customers (chances are they are watching too).
I used to have the all access subscription. Don't anymore :(

Read on the news today about a local young star jumping to her death a few days ago. It's quite sad and I can't help but think how dangerous loneliness can be. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in a society that pretends that mental disorder doesn't exist.

So out of touch with the latest tech news (eat and sleep once I get home from work.) I don't even know if there's going to be a new nexus 10

What I hate about being sick are the fever dreams

Those are the wildest! I remember two from my youth ... one was being chased by lawn mowers and the other was where the trees got out of the ground and started walking toward me on their roots.

I had wild ... visions like that as well in my youth, but they were not *fever* spawned...

But I do remember a couple of fever spawned hallucinations - scary stuff. I think my record high was a scorching 103, although my father likes to remember it as 106.

Then again, on my first visit to India when I was 3, I ...caught? ... typhoid and had to come early and spent 26 days in the hospital, so.... who knows *what* I might have seen then. Or what my temps were....

Reminds me of this scene I caught one early morning I was watching (I don't know why) Wrong Turn 5 where a couple people were mowed down by these lawn mowers.

uploadfromtaptalk1395665223260.jpgmy turning signals are broken. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don't. Very bad if I get pulled over. Electrical problem they say its very expensive.
Oh the heat is still broken.

My guess is the switch on the column is failing and they have to pull the steering wheel to fix it. That means pulling the airbag, too which is always expensive.

No heat? Or the fan doesn't work?

I had a no heat problem before. It turned out there was a vacuum line that attached to the the controls in the dash board has split. This somehow opend and closed the vents. I cut off the last 1/4", slid it back on, and my pesky no heat problem was no more.

They said they fixed it, but I don't feel heat, even after 45 minutes with it on, blowing out cold air.

If you know how a car heater works, it could be an easy fix or expensive.

It could be as simple as low coolant. If they had to drain your cooling system to fix it before and they didn't bleed the system properly, you could have air in your heater core, which would not heat. Make sure you have enough coolant (or better yet, have your shop do it ... and bleed the air properly ... that they should have done in the first place.)

It could be a vacuum hose as pup suggested. That's a $5 hose and pretty easy to fix, too.

It might be a defective or disconnected heater control valve.

What you don't want is a plugged heater core, which would have to be replaced. That usually means having to pull the dash and is very expensive.

Common on many cars is a vacuum controlled coolant valve, that directs the hot engine coolant through the heater core. Something as simple as the vacuum line coming unplugged can cause the issue.

Their going to have a look at it tomorrow. Hope they fix it, because it's getting cold again.
