Yep all rooted, apps i dont use disabled, firewall installed. Overall , I like it. Some of kitkat features bug me, and it does fight with TitaniumBackup in that it will not let it use the external SD card to save to, and treats that as read only. I have a work around in that esfile manager can write to the sd. I also don't care for the Google search button being permanently stuck to the home screen. It is still a nice tablet for the money.

I just got one today from my uncle, who is visiting from LA. I was wondering if there are any good tablet launchers I can replace TouchWiz with?

Even though I don't use a tablet, but I'm finding Nova Launcher a bit more stable than Apex after recent updates.

on that note, i got rejected for a credit card application a few days ago

Oh, it happens all the time.

I get plenty of "pre-approved" credit card applications, only to be rejected when I fill them in and send them.

Dngrsone, after talking to one of the girls taking the application on the phone, I found out that that statement simply means you are approved to apply for the card. It does not mean you are qualified for the card. I had asked how many days it would take to get my new card.

Which is kind of sad, when you think about it... saying it like that implies that there are people who are not allowed to even fill out an application. What are those rules, I wonder.

I haven't tried a new launcher yet, probably will give NOVA a try. On another note, I got a universal remote app for it. That works great. I get better remote performance with my Dish receiver than with its own remote.

I was going to open a USD savings account with them too, but think I'll stick with my current bank for now. I'll just apply for a card where I'm banking now.
