Good movie, go see it. I was skeptical from trailers casue it seems like I have seen it already.. But it was nicely done.

i agree with hitman. one of the few movies ive seen lately worth the insane admission price that they have now.

Ive been worried about seeing this movie, I'm from Boston and appreciated The Departed but couldnt help but feel like they butchered the boston accent as well as how the city actually is. I'm worried this movie is going to be the same.

did you ever see it? did they mess it up? have you seen Gone Baby Gone? I am not from Boston nor I have ever been there but it seems to me Ben is doing good movies. Dunno tho it would be nice to hear from someone from that area tho.

Now you know how we southerners feel whenever any movie set in the south comes on.

Not for nothing but they didn't butcher any part of the Boston accent. It's extremely accurate to what many people speak like that come from Southie (at least that I have encountered)

I'm a big fan of Dennis Lehane's novels, one of which is Gone Baby Gone (the movie was painful to watch after reading the book). I couldn't help but feel the similarity in tone, and of course location, when watching The Town. Great flick.

However, after reading Lehane's books and seeing this movie I am officially terrified to ever visit Boston.

Just don't go to South Boston (although personally I can't ever see a reason to go to Boston unless you are going to Fenway/Gillette).

I hate Ben Affleck, ever since he did those after school specials about steroid abuse...
But i loved this movie, it was the right mix of humor and action.
It gets you going and doesnt let go, honestly i havent had sweaty palms from a movie since i could remember.
I would say this movie is now one of my favorites of all time

I liked this movie. It was good, but not great. I'm somewhat partial as crime-dramas are easily my favorite genre.
