what are the features of the Gingerbread update. Just received a DX from one of our Med's here. Im excited about the update. What will it include??

Loving my DX!!!!
I want to utilize it soo much. Any great features people can tell me other than telln me what the update will be!!

One of the big things it included was a more universal copy/paste implementation. It provides proper "handles" for the selection so you can drag around your selection until you've got what you want.

does anyone know if sbf'ing back to froyo .340 - rooting - then flashing the two part file leaves you with root access on gingerbread .596 or not? thanks!

Yes, it does give you root.

long time ago means about two or three months ago. yes it's been available for a while in the rooted community.

unfortunately, no. iirc, they integrated this ability in the next OS update we 99.9% prob won't see on this particular phone, due to it's age (Ice Cream Sandwich)
