Root [Theme] Dark Sense for Galaxo 1.6.3.x

Is it possible to use the theme together with new dalvik with JIT. I went through your updateable dalvik zip and the launcher is without theme. And since jakax said you have to repack the theme against the new dalvik will it work?
 
Well, the zip on my mirror ist "just" a mirror of the ori. file.
The theme should work if you apply it afterwards.
First jit, than theme.. I know from ppl who did it this way and it worked, but i have not tested it by myself.. (yet)
 
Thanks infect for the great theme. I had it running great until ADW update tonight popped up on Market and long story short I ended restoring.

After getting Darksense running again I changed the ADW column width to 6 from default 4 as I like the extra room. Before this last restore if I added any widget it would prompt me for column size and I could add two points and the widget would stretch out nicely over the full 6 columns. But now I do not get prompted to add to widget width and my widgets(power control) are chopped up! I have been over every setting of ADW and I can't see what I missed. Any clues? Thank you.
 
To give you my experience:

installed AWD with sens UI. AWD is really quick, working so good and smooth.
No problem detected for 24 ours of forcing everything.
only thing is 1minute of lagging when phone first starts, when everything loaded in memory phone working perfectly.

Galaxo 1.6.3.3 with DarkSense 2.0 AWD with HTC Hero sens UI is perfect.
For 8 months haven't seen better, faster nor prettier OS and/or theme for galaxy.


Only one, let's say bug, is bothering me, HTC Hero Sens UI is not active. I can't find where to activate it. It's not in widgets, so I don't know where is it.. :s was looking in options of AWD tested few logical to me options, but nothing worked.
If anyone know how to activate it, please help me. :)
 
that's why everyone who use sense ui prefer it over vanilla ui... white bar is so win95.

Anyway, I used Darksense but I prefer Vanilla (well, almost, I modified it with Metamorph and posted my "theme" here).

And a small quote from the GAOSP FAQ:

"Will X app/widget/HTC Keyboard be added to GAOSP?
A: No - we prefer vanilla approach: we include only the apps that are necessary. Everything that can be downloaded from Market or some site later won't be added (unless it's REALLY needed out of the box) so don't even bother asking."

Could you change the default theme?
A: See question before."

Not that I don't like what inFECT does, it's great, but I believe people should have mostly stock Android and themes to chose if they want.

Yes, the only problem is there are no themes for Gaosp to chose from.

Good point. However it's understandable, it can be really long to theme something, so everyone would rather pick a release that's going to stay around. Porting a theme probably isn't that long though.

Well, I have to report it doesn't work. ddms (log) reports errors on startup. Odex not compatible with services.jar after installing DarkSense. As jakax said, theme has to be "rearranged" from his apk and jar files - files he included in the update. ADW works without a problem (after removing Launcher.odex) so I'll be using standard theme until GAOSP Froyo fixes the camera.

The Link will be back today. I had a system crash on box23 and lost a lot of files. Unfortunatly my backup was not up2date.

Also if you can update the Dark Sense Theme so that it does not kill the new battery indicator in 1.6.3.4 it would be GODSEND :D

Anyways...I guess most people would want that...But its upto you

Ideally I would request you to do it :)
 
Bro Im on 7500 1.6.3.4 using Dark Sense 2.0 ADW.

Tried using ADW.Launcher1.1.0-Donut_System_MDPI.zip from your box23.org repository and I got a boot screen fix/black screen where I could not do anything.
Even tried removing the battery and rebooting thrice but to no avail.

I had to get back to my earlier nandroid backup.

Any help with this bro.
 
@infect - will your next update include JIT for donut with the theme??? bcoz currently i have 3.4 and JIT donut installed, and i cant install ur theme as it is struck at boot animation!!!
 
Been using the beta for a couple of days now, works great! Love the updated contact list, finally the contact photos can be used for something :) For the calender I feel the grey background on the "View event" screen makes the text a bit difficult to read some times, but other than that everything's perfect.

Just installed the Dark Sense 2.1 Beta on 1.6.3.4 and Im loving it
It also has the charger circle that was implemented on Galaxo 1.6.3.4 (This was missing in darksense 2.0)

Also now each contact can either be viewed or called. There's a call icon besides each contact.

Overall looks very sharp.

Waiting for the Final Release for Donut :)

Hi,

I cant find the transparency setting in the Dark Sense 1.01 Beta
inFECT have you removed it for some particular reason ?

Also when the phone is put to charge only the 1st quarter on the left part of the charging circle changes colour to orange without blinking. The other 3/4 part is dull gray in colour without any animation. Is this natural for this beta.

Experience on the Beta is definitely great.
