Ok so I am trying to theme a few apps that I use regularly( gmail, dropbox, and dolphin browser) and I have decompiled them with apk multi-tool. When I try to edit a .png with gimp it all works perfectly except when I try to edit a color into the ics blue it comes out as grey. Every other color works fine but that one can someone please give me an idiot proof answer, btw I have never used gimp before

try this configuration and see what happens :) it should give you the color that is in the background of this screen shot (the blue strip). pretty close to ics blue :)

I'm a photoshop baby n cant gasp how to use gimp yet outside of basic stuff like resizing lol.

Yeah I hear you on that one. I have cs6. I was just trying it out but gimp is pretty confusing, for me at least. I'll just stick with PS. thank guys, much appreciated

Go to image>mode> then you will see rgb or cmyk or greyscale or indexed...it is likely checked next to greyscale just change it to rgb. it might be indexed too...if so same deal...just change to rgb. Either way once its rgb you can colorize to your hearts content.

I came to gimp from old school photoshop 5.0 once you get the hang of gimp it actually has some really nice features...I dont know if they are in newer versions of photoshop or not but they are still really awesome to me...lol I only miss the batch processes of photoshop in gimp. But you can write your own scripts for gimp so I am sure there is some way of doing albiet more complicated. ;)
