Root [THEME] GingerFusion3.9 *Bluetooth Fixed 1/26/2012*

UOT changes those icons by what would be a typical AOSP SystemUI file. If the file names are made different by the OEM (LG) then they won't change with the UOT Kitchen and you will have to change them yourself.

+1 it's also why themes for metamorph typically won't work, because instead of having Contacts.apk we have LG-Contacts.apk. ( which is stupid in my view but if it serves the purpose of preventing themes and Modding then it partially served it's purpose)

Edit: AND DO NOT TRY TO RENAME THEM,they just won't work afterwards.

I would suggest searching Google for "apkmanager." It's what I use to make my themes. It pretty much just extracts an apk file for image editing. Its a little confusing at first but you'll get it.

I've been trying to use that but I can't get passed the "set current project" option. How'd you get past it?

Whatever apk you're editing needs to be in the "place_apk_here_for_Modding" folder. Then do option 22 to select current job, then it should show whichever apk you have the folder I mentioned. Press the number next to it (should be 1) then hit enter. Then go about extracting or decompiling the apk.
 
Just out of curiosity, how can you uninstall a theme if for some reason they want to go back to stock, with out having to do a restore/factory reset?
 
Like the update. The mms looks good, Im thinking about dropping Gosms. Thanks for giving me back that great 4g icon. ;)
 
Question: I changed the screen lock to use the pattern lock. Now I've lost the old school tv look when my screen turns off. Is there a way to get that back? I tried flashing just the theme but that didn't work.

MT added that mod to the rom. Thats not apart of SPC's Fusion theme...How to get it back Im not sure. Message MT and he could probably help yoi out better since he's the one that put it in the rom.

Actually it should still work because the CRT animation is a Gingerbread feature and is not ROM specific. Try this:

Go to
Settings>Display>Animation

Then set to either "Some Animations" or "All Animations" and you should have it back.

Yup, you're right. I thought it was the pattern, but I changed the animation too, trying to save battery. I was always wondered what that setting did :-)

Hey anyone else having bluetooth pairing problems after this update? Keeps crashing on pair attempts. I restored some pairings with titanium and those seem to connect ok. Just pairing seems affected.

That's weird, themes don't touch Bluetooth so it shouldn't be related.

I can now confirm that it is the theme that force closes bluetooth. Ive been having bluetooth problems for 4 days now since i installed PG's ROM and i thought that was the cause because when i was on stock i had no bluetooth problems before i updated. So now i flashed back to stock and i tested bluetooth and i was successfully able to pair to 5 devices. So then i really thought that extreme esteem 1.1 was the cause. So now im back to stock and i decided to flash just the theme alone because i like it so much with the dark blue and when it was successful the first thing i tried before even trying to get my apps back was try to pair with a device and BAM i got a force close. So i guess the reason it was crashing when i was in PG's Rom is because this theme comes preinstalled with the ROM. I understand you say that themes cant break the bluetooth but if you want i can make you a youtube video going back to stock and pairing with a device then flashing the theme and trying to pair so you can see the crash.
