Root [THEME] ICS/JB-BROKEN OUT Theme *7/10/12*

Im going to try and flash the zip again, but nothing changed. Im still on ZVA.. and still have the stock notification bar... hmm

Edit: just triple checking, v2 is for ZVA right?

Edit2: still didnt work..

I mistakenly put V1 (meant for broken out rom) on my ZVA and had 0 side effects.. im pretty sure you are fine leaving it

(and obviously if you did a NANDROID backup right before you made the change you can install that and that would remove the update)
 
If the update.zip isn't working then I can upload the .apks but you guys would have to manually add them to the appropriate folders. If you want I can do that?
 
Okay like I saidbim learning as I go lol. I just read online that I have to deodex the AOL's before I theme them. So ill have to reupload later tonight.

Heading off to college now but yes ill update the open with manual instructions and deodexed apks tonight
 
Heres the status for my theme:

Deodex system and framework apps

port theme from to the deodexed apks

rebuild zip for flashing

hopefully everyone can have a taste of ICS? ;)
 
man all this waiting is making me anxious :P, but im sure its worth the wait.

Question, can you remove the "MetroPCS" in the notification bar or is that not possible with theming?

its possible lol, right now i just want to get this to the masses in a fully working build and then ill be fully tweaking it to make everyone requests filled lol
 
still no luck with the contacts ugh, sorry guys! andthe update zip wont work. I just attempted it on my own connect and my wifes. looks like if you guys want this theme it will have to be done the manual way. sorry :/
 
I see hardly anyone wants this for zva and it doesn't work. So if youvguys want I can start again and finish for broken out. If there's enough requests.
 
Really liking the way that status bar looks! How do I go about doing this manually? Not exactly sure which folder to put it in :/ I've tried flashing v.1 and v.2 several times but had no luck....I'm running B.O. to btw...Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Not ready for BO ....... YET. Lol

Sorry for the long wait guys. I've been learning a lot. Where I stand now is going to be final. I'm going to broken out since its fully deodexed and will be continuing where i left off. But now I know how to do the contacts, etc for the most part. And I'm looking into bringing some JB into this as well. Might attempt to theme the gingerbread keyboard as well. ;)
 
Sounds good bro but for the keyboard good luck, me and couple of guys on the esteem site can't seem to theme the keyboard oh the only thing u can theme is the buttons and background shinyside and myself. Went thru all the XML to figure out how to change the colors for the letters and no go so I gave up, but if find out how to do if let us know bro thx...
 
Much love to fuzzy13 from the esteem forums. He gave me permission to use his theme as an aid to get it to the connect should be up tonight with fine tweaks for text etcc coming within the week ;)
