Root [Theme] INCredble REVOlution ~~ Based off Manup456's

Does the clean icon set, replace the icons in the app drawer with the the text icons? or just for when they are set on a homescreen?

oh yeah, and in clockwork recovery, can i apply the theme, alt font, and rosie mod all at once? or do then all seperately between boots? Answered this myself, updated the theme first then the mods. Worked great.

I flashed the CM6 theme and don't have any icons in my status bar. Did I do something wrong? I'm running the 9/9 nightly

Uhm, what clock is being used for this theme that uses the system clock? Is there a way I can get it without installing the whole theme? I have flashed the transparent apps but didn't see the clock. If it is beautiful widgets or something like that then where is the skin to make it use the system font? I have a feeling when I get my answer I'm going to feel foolish but I'm a bit stumped here for some reason.

Edit: Never mind, found it. I feel about as silly as I thought I would.

Since you already feel silly, I might as well join you because I was wondering the same thing. Where did you find it?

I'm very saddened to report that using virtuous 2.6 King BFS #4 kernel and applying this via ROM Manager I get a boot loop. :( It is really a beautiful theme, thanks for porting it over. I would not be shocked to find that this is related to my having installed the rotary unlock mod.... this seems to cause boot loops with a number of other mods I have tried. I just like it SO much more than the up down slider...

Any thoughts?

=--edit--=
OK, I've completely wiped and reinstalled the Virtuous 2.6 and the very first thing I did on reboot was go into ROM Manager and try to apply this theme... this time I'm not getting a boot loop, but the hTc quietly brilliant splash screen is blinking on and off.... On for 8 seconds and off for less than one.

Has anyone else downloaded this from the ROM Manager and had it work OK?

Maybe not viable for you but certainly an option have you tried widget locker? You can refund if not like it

Thanks for the advice, I have tried widget locker. I can't remember what made me get rid of it. I remember liking it. Unfortunately my theory regarding the rotary unlock was proven incorrect. I wiped everything out and went completely stock Virtuous (kernel and all) and still had the same problem. Maybe it is the file available from ROM Manager... I'll try downloading manually in a little bit. It is horribly slow at work today.

Ok, so I've looked here and XDA and haven't seen anything but.. maybe I'm blind. I installed this theme on both Virtuous and fourth wave and when in the messaging app when someone texts me there text go to the top a hour back so basically a different time zone.. To fix this I had to go to settings, date and time, and turn of the auto feature and select central. Just wondering anyone else experiencing this and any fixes?

I was getting boot loops when I first installed it also, so I did a nandroid restore and then I read a post on XDA that you SHOULDN'T do a data/cache wipe when installing the theme and that fixed my problem and haven't had one since then.
I installed from Rom Manager

New problem I think. I installed this on Cyan 6.0.2 and it is absolutely wonderful except I now get a themed pop-up window whenever I get a text message. Never had a pop-up for text messages before installing this theme.....where can I go to turn the damn pop-ups off? I only use the stock CM messaging app and don't have any other sms apps installed.

:D

I just gave it a shot and was stuck in a boot loop again. I appreciate your advice, though! I think I'll just give up on it for now at least.... walk away, mess with some other roms and try again in a week or two.

Here's a copy and paste from the official Virtuous Website, this might help or might not.

Virtuous ROM: Multiple Mods, Compatibility and Boot Loops

Multiple Mods, Compatibility and Boot Loops

I am seeing a number of reports of people encountering boot loops after applying various combinations of themes and mods. I blame myself for not clearly documenting the conflicts, so I'll do my best to cover it here.

  • Revolution Theme - Conflicts with statusbar and rotary lock mods (basically anything which alters framework).
  • Rotary Clock - Should work fine with statusbar mods, conflicts with Revolution Theme.
  • Status Bar Mods - Conflicts with Revolution theme.
  • Mods Outside of Virtuous - Assume they will conflict with all of the above. This includes the circular battery mods.

Basically, if you are using the Revolution Theme, you cannot use any other mods. You can, however, safely use the other goodies and app removal options. Keep in mind, it is virtually impossible to test every permutation of mod install. The more mods you combine, the greater the risk that you will break something.

If everything were implemented via Metamorph, this would not be a problem. However, many mods replace the same exact framework as others. For example, Rotary Clock replaces framework/framework-res.apk, and framework/android.policy.jar. Revolution replaces essentially every file in the framework directory. Status bar mods only replace services.jar. Anywhere mods which overlap on the same framework files are very likely to send you into a boot loop.

The only guarantee I can provide is that if you stick to the options provided via EZ-Customizer, you will be completely safe. Beyond that, expect the possibility of failure considering you are venturing into mods which require substantial modifications to essential libraries.

hey guys, know this isnt a bootloop, but didnt want anyone to do what i did. I installed the theme over my fresh install of the new 2.0b redemption rom. I wondered what the sans rosie would look like, so i ran the removal script. That worked fine, but then I realized I didnt like it as much, so i flashed the theme back over itself to reinstall. Now my phone is stuck on loading the home screen saying something like :loading.... this may take a few minutes to complete". I'm running the removal script again to see if that will at least get rid of the message. Any thoughts? Id like to not have to reload the rom....

As I finished writing this, the removal script worked and its back to the non rosie theme, just want to get rosie back,,

Edit: on second thought, Im just gonna wipe it and reinstall.

Figured I should just toss up a link to my post where I was messing around learning how to edit some apk stuff...made a transparent google voice inbox widget to use with my revo theme. In case anyone else in the world uses the widget~

http://androidforums.com/incredible...88-working-google-voice-skin.html#post1568075

If I have enough time I may work on stuff more...I want lots of transparent apps. Of course my troubles with getting .9.pngs to not come out looking horrifying could be an impediment to making them not suck.

I need a nice, transparent, fullscreen widget for..something. Facebook or email would be preferable. It doesn't even have to actually be fullscreen, but definitely transparent.

Using Shortercut to apply clean icons...keeps reverting to stock sms and mail app icons...other icons are staying as set...any ideas? Also on virtuous 2.6 rom.

This kept happening to me as well. I switched to Handcent SMS for messenger though, so that fixed that problem. I never did figure out how to fix the email one.

I have the smae problem with the quietly brilliant flash screen. i am almost certian it is the kernel.

And the GOOD NEWS IS! I just updated my Virtuous ROM via Rom manager, did not clear data or cache, installed the new these and it worked perfectly. I no longer have the rotary unlock, but I see in the above post that it may interfere so I will back up and try reinstalling it.

I'm really happy with the look and feel of this theme. Thank you!

So far everythings looking great on my phone but I can't seem to find that widget that says the battery percentage left. It says "82 percent" in the screenshots.

Is your phone plugged in?

My bad, I see now that you are probably referring the the widget that says eighty percent or whatever in plain text. I'm not entirely sure which that is, but it may be BattStatt.
