son of a b*tch, i knew i would forget something LOL call text is black for #2 also :( thank god the item background is grey lol, it can wait for a fix :D

well i was curious of something... maybe we (you LOL) can make a checkbox option, have the option just replace the string used for am/pm with a blank text.. would that generally fix it? is am/pm listed as a string? if it is than we can def find a way for it to work like that and completely avoid smali edits LOL plus it's be somewhat more of an officail fix?! :D
 
Hey Fuzzy, your Bluetooth working?
It crashes when I try to pair a device.

I know that when the Settings.apk is edited, it can break Bluetooth, just didn't know if this was normal in your theme, or just me.

I reinstalled #2 2.5 and applied your really wonderful theme, just no pairing.

Well Ive only found two strings that have ampm in them. They are both in Res cap and one is am_pm and one is ampm. Obviously ive tried just deleting the string but that doesnt work. Im not even sure if those are for the clock in the status bar.
 
Hey L I noticed this last time and forgot until I saw it now but there is a smali folder in the settings app name "nfc" with "nfc enabler.smali" files within. Would this be Near Field Communication by chance? We wouldnt have that would we?

well you wouldn't delete the actual string but just the text it uses leave blank.. see if that does anything lol, as for the nfc thing... no clue bro lol smali to me is just slang for spanish LOL me no comprende

the op for it mentiones smali files he 'added' so maybe they consiste of the app shortcuts we would need for it :D who knows... haha ill give it a shot with you in a few.. doing some work on the connect atm.. finally got the rom to boot and a fresh version of speed kernel :D

I just went at it and there is several smali files we dont have in our settings that we have to add his code to.

No thats what im talking about, just deleting the text in the string. I've literally tried everything. I really dont even want to go back in there unless i know for sure what will do it.

oo... so after you deleted the text in both it still said am/pm on time in statusbar? thats lame.. there gota be something we can do gosh darnnit!!!

Yeah. Ive deleted everything ampm related. Ctrl F'd the shit out xmls lol

damn.. seems like the time may be related to smali files :(

or maybe this is the wrong approach.. how else would it be possible? are there any market apps that do it? maybe we can disect it and see what it has to offer? :D

I just checked it again and its in the public folder NOT strings. So thats more than likely smali related. Ive even taken the public ID related to both of those ampm's and went hunting for it in every damn smali I could find. Nothing. Hahaha when I say ive tried every damn thing, i mean. Everything but the right thing lol
 
But res cap is funny. Ive tried changing the "slide up to unlock" on the stock lock and i cant get that to change for my life. Just a simple string edit and it wont change it. I guess smali over rules string edits.

well i had a similar issue... there a string for clear button in sysui and res_cap, i edit both to say [Empty] but when rom first boots it still says clear lol, but it fixes itself later after a reboot or two.. so yeah they are tricky.. its mind boggling honestly LOL there's times my head literally hurts from this stuff and i just need to take a "break" :D

Dude Ill have so many folders open and 3 versions of sysui and fw. My head just starts hurting. If I lose concentration its over lol.
