*Usual Disclaimer* I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. Best practice is to make a nandroid before flashing anything.

What is a deodexed system?

deodexing allows your system to run custom themes. (by default your system is odexed).

you can do it manually, however jts roms automatically do it for you. so if you are running one of them (actually any fascinate rom at this point i believe) you are deodexed.

How do I do it manually? Could this help my rom flashes?

its a bit complicated to do it manually (ive only ever done it once, on the droid x) and it will not affect flashing a rom at all. afaik deodexing really on matters to run themes.

odexed systems are actually a tiny tick faster than deodexed systems, but its not noticable.

So when I download jts super clean..with a theme...is that why it won't load? Cuz I'm not deodexed?

my recommendation to get stuff working:

download jts rom and flash it. let your phone boot (it may take a while.)

then download one of his kernels, let it boot.

then if you want a theme you can download and flash that separately.

I thought you had to flash the kernell first..then rom. And when I pick jts super clean, it gives me the option of glossy mod...which is a theme correct? So it would be a themed rom....if I understand this right...

the order doesnt matter unless the rom has a packaged kernel in it, which jt's 0.4 for DI01 doesnt.

just ignore the theme requests. if you are having a problem with it with rom manager i would get it at xda:

[ROM] Super Clean De-Binged DI01 + AOSP apps - Updated 10/30 Version 0.4 - xda-developers

copy it onto your sdcard...boot into cwr and install from zip then reboot.

Can I theme the stock kernell and rom?

the kernel has nothing to do with themes. its the framework of the rom you are running.

*If* you have deodexed the stock rom you could run a theme. running it over an odexed system wont take right and it ll be weird or have issues.

How do I tell if I have a deodexed stock rom?

if you are not running a custom rom and just have the regular system then you arent deodexed. i think if you look in system/app and if you have an .odex files in there then you are not deodexed....i forget i havent had to check in awhile

small matinence update will be out for nextang later this week...fix a few bugs....and theme the system progress bar

Hey Nitsuj,

I'm running superclean .9 with this theme. I would like to enable the puzzle lock screen with it, because I like the ability to open right into missed calls, and I like the way the stock music player has a pull down menu.

When I tried enabling, though, the layout of the puzzle screen isn't quite right. The hole for the puzzle piece is shifted up (until you actually pick up the puzzle piece, when the hole snaps back down); the controls for the pull down music player appear as numbers instead of the fast-forward, pause, and rewind buttons; and the clock at the bottom of the screen is misaligned with the date and AM/PM. Is there anything I can tweak to make the puzzle lock play nicely with the theme?

Thanks so much for all your hard work.
