as for the fonts. any android font should work. i think theres some font changers on the market and xda has some fonts too

LOl I didn't even notice that it didn't change.. I like the original fonts, I was just checking if it did in fact matter.. I was on the GB keyboard, and was like, :O "where did my arrows go?" and my "and" symbol! haha

Yes, try flashing 3.1 first, and then load phone. If it loads fine, flash 4.0.

I had to odin, then reinstall shabby, then 3.1, then 4.0. But it might work for you straight away.

For me, flashing 4.0 caused boot-looping. Flashing 3.1 then 4.0 worked, but if I ever do a factory wipe then I encounter boot-looping again. This can be fixed by flashing 3.1 then 4.0 again, but a bit of a hassle. Any idea what's happening here? It sounds like a lot of people are having a similar issue. Great theme BTW! Enjoying the Gingerbread keyboard, but also found the ampersand (&) issue.

I could only find install-recovery.sh. Still experienced bootlooping after removing the file, re-flashing 4.0, and performing a factory wipe. I am running Hroarkernel 1.2, M1 mod, and dt-A2SD. Could that have something to do with it?
 
Retracted Question

Fyi, when installing Simple 4.0, you can also flash Royal Android before making the jump to 4.0. This works just as we'll. That's how I did it initially with no issues. Why do you supposed its necessary?

Are you doing a wipe right after the flashing of 4.0 in CWM. If you are this will not work. I was able to do a wipe after the phone booted up in the OS.
 
I found more of carrier iq on the phone, its not running cause I've already removed what starts it but might have to do with some of the bootloops

EDIT: by the way... the bluetooth power control widget is reversed (illuminated when bt is off... and grey when bt is on) and the scroll bar is blue in the green theme
 
I've been after getting 4.0 into my phone for a few days now. It just kept boot looping. The splash screen would just start over and go through a few cycles and then start over again... ad infinitum! I really wanted this theme because its the only one with the IQ Agent fix built in!

Yesterday I finally resolved the issue. I was using RoyalAndroid (my preferred theme) and flashed the 3.1 theme and then flashed the 4.0 theme. But the crucial difference was that after flashing 3.1 I DIDN'T wipe the phone, only the davlink. The problem that I was having that the I was wiping the phone before every theme flashing.

Hope this helps some people that are having boot loop issues!

A few caveats though about the theme... hopefully improved in the new version!

First, as someone else pointed out before somewhere in the forum, messages in Gmail are not discernible. The read and the unread messages are all bold or all not bold or something... They cant be told apart visually at all.

The main reason that I like Royal Android better than the Simple B/G themes is because of the battery notification icon. In all fairness the number next to the battery bar (in 4.0) in much better than the number inside a battery icon (in 3.1)... but its nothing (in my opinion) next to the round notification style with the number inside adopted by Royal Android. Another thing. Royal Android has the battery meter go up from 0 to 100 every time and stops between with the correct percentage once. In Royal B/G the animation that you use goes up from the percentage charged up to 100 and then loops. So when the percentage gets up to 97 and up it starts to "blink". A bit distracting to say the least?

If you could tell me how to go about switching the one out for the other it'd be awesome

you could try copying over the battery images and xmls from framework-res but i doubt it will work without decompiling it. and if you did that you won't be able to recompile it

I have done this with both the Royal Android and cool blue themes to the battery meter I prefer.
What you do is extract the framework-res from the theme ( 7-zip is the prog to use) .. i used UOT kitchen selected the battery i liked and uploaded the extracted framework to kitchen .

Once that was ready and downloaded using 7 zip again you need to extract the drawable-mdpi folder from the framework you just made and move it into the framework of the original theme.

Ok hope that is not too messed up an explanation but it does work, and i would be glad to help if i can

Had this issue too. I found that flashing the stock fonts zip afterward, makes new messages bold, while read emails are not. It's enough for me, hope it helps you.

Agree, that's the best and easiest way to do that. Actually, I just swap out the entire framework apk.
 
I'm working on fixing the keyboard button, gmail text and bluetooth widget for the next update. If you guys find any other bugs let me know

If you have the Amazon App , there is a Thumb keyboard that is free to day . It has all kinds of themes that you can download and apply . I'm running it right now and it's SWEET ! :D

Pretty much all of the above. I know with thumb keyboard there is a pretty cool blue theme that you can download and went good with simple blue. My problem with thumb keyboard is that it seemed a bit smaller and was harder for me to type quickly, which is why I prefer the gingerbread keyboard.
