If you look at my Device(s) under my avatar you will see I that I am running Liquid GB 2.6 with this ;)

I made a mod though to add the background to the Liquid GB png in the settings menu. I will post it up later in the first post.

How are you liking Liquid bo?

If I had to rank them in order of my preference, it would be like this (These are the ones that I've tried):

Liquid GB 2.6>OMGB>OMFGB>SSX 2.0>CM7>MIUI

I've had no issues at all with Liquid GB 2.6 so far.

Cool. Told you guys it was a nice ROM. Im on CM7 at the moment and its running fine and doing what I need. Im in build number 60.

I agree with you and the order of ROM's, I would personally swap SSX with MIUI though, so like this.

Liquid GB 2.6>OMGB>OMFGB>MIUI>CM7>SSX 2.0

Speaking of themes, don't you have to deodex to theme?

I'm not sure about the deodexing part, but p3Droid seems to be adamant about not needing to. It makes me wonder why he releases a deodexed version of his update files every time there's an OS update though.........hmmmm

All I know is that every time I try to load a theme on an odexed system I bootloop, but if I deodex I don't bootloop.

Maybe if a theme is created in a way that takes into account the .odex files it may not be necessary???

According to what I have been seeing lately deodexing is only necessary if you are going to be messing with .jar files in /system (files like services.jar).

Check this out, it may help you decide for yourself:

EDIT:
So if you are asking me whether to deodex or not, I would say just do it; you may lose a little performance (mainly bootup speed), which in my opinion is negligible, rather than bootloop after applying a theme or a mod, and have to apply a deodexer anyway to fix it, or restore a backup to fix it, etc.

Bo thanks for all the info. I always thought deodex was the way to go for theming as well. Not sure why p3 says you dont have to. If I had a twitter account I would ask him. :p

Maybe because themeing doesn't require you to mess with the system .jar files. It's mostly just replacing pngs (but not limited to only that, you can edit xmls and smali code too).

I remember applying themes that didn't change any .jar files and I would bootloop if I wasn't deodexed, so go figure.

Get a twitter account and go ask him ;)

He's never really given a good explanation as to why he is so adamant about this...I would like to know how he "knows" this, where did he get his info from?

WOW! I finally installed this on OMFGB and it looks great! Many thanks! This will be my Theme of choice no matter what ROM I use.

Great job!

What do you like about Liquid GB 2.6 over OMGB?

Thanks a lot Bo, awesome post! :D

No problem :D

What do you like about Liquid GB 2.6 over OMGB?

For one, I got used to the power widget controls in the status bar (I was missing that :D)

I also like the single notification removal by swiping either right or left instead of having to clear all notifications at once like on OMGB.

I also feel it's overall smoother and it has a nice set of tweaking options (Liquid settings).

Oh, and the v6supercharger settings stick after reboot, they weren't sticking for me on OMGB (I had to re-apply after every reboot) :D

You can use the .596 one, but you'd be reverting back to .596 except for the radio. I don't plan on making one for .602 as I don't plan on using it.

Thanks Bo, I don't plan to stay here long. Was having signal lose issues and tried it to see if the roms were the problem. They were not just got a bad replacement. Tried Liquid 2.6 on your recommendation and that's where I want to be. :D

I love this theme, however I am having an issue with the checkbox in google music when using this theme. I am on OMFGB. There are icons showing up instead of the checkbox.

If the Fascinate is HDPI based, then it should.

Coool, I might give it a shot? I got the downloads and I'm gonna use your zip themer update. I'm just not sure which to flash 1st? I flash'em both by CWM right? I just need a few details from ya man! I just got my fascinate back where I want it after I was trying to fix my signal issues and something went horribly awry(lol):p? not so bad that I couldn't fix it, but just a big hassle ya know!!
Any help and I'd be stoked! I've been lookin' for a cool CM7 theme for a few weeks now( .....more like contemplating)!
Thanks Holmes!!
**edit:I tried it and got looped:mad:, I didn't use OMGB version. It didn't show up in theme chooser either? Guess I'll try it with metamorph?**
