^ upped with a new question on theming..
I beloved that is because the toggle on.9.PNG is wider than the toggle off.9.PNG that's why when it's pressed it stretches out. It is in the framework-res apk. Carefully sift through or search for them and check the dimensions on both. Then resize the on toggle to the same size as the off toggle.
Good luck.
it does that when i toggle both on too. only one of them is larger.
also after i toggle both on, if i turn both off it does the same thing..
but somethings when i toggle both on they are the same size.
same thing with when both of them are off.
and also i am using the toggle on.9.png and toggle off.9.png that came with the original framework.apk
but that i don't mind. it's the last picture that's really bothering me with the letters not showing all the way on the button
thanks btw
does any one know what XML file i need to edit that will let me center the clock in the status bar? ive looked every where and i can find out how to do it for GB but not froyo! so i was hopeing someone could help?![]()

wow, blue you said something on another thread that I would have to paraphrase here.
this just is all greek to me lol![]()

Whatever tutorial you found should work the same. Just swap out the SystemUI.apk part and use the framework-res.apk
In the res\values folder
You just need to edit the statusbar.xml.
android:gravity="center" Is the attribute to keep the clock in the middle
I'm sure you can figure out the rest.
Blue, what values folder are you talkin about because i see about 24 dif. ones and none of them have the status_bar.xml file in them, but i did find it in the layout folder... so i this the one i should edit? and what program is the best to edit xml files with?
To be totally honest I really don't know what half of this stuff means either.
I've just bookmarked a lot of web pages with useful info and really just piece it all together.
Sometimes it works![]()
Sometimes it doesn't
Just hope I can help others, as others have me.
Ya that is the best attitude.
by the way still loving that steel blue. I think I changed my mind about a theme like the royalv2 with the extras, this one is awesome.
Whoops I'm sorry I didn't mean to say the values folder.
It's res/layout folder
Really sorry about that. Didn't mean to lead you astray
It should be in there though
And use notepad++ It's really easy to read/edit the decompiled xml's

Thanks alot blue, u have been a big help in my learning to theme!![]()
Ya it killed my battery fast,Ty
By the way how was the no CIQ workin' for you? Cause it seemed like it really killed my battery.
Just want to know if you still need the steel blue w/ no ciq

Thanks alot blue, u have been a big help in my learning to theme!![]()
Did you change the font size of your theme?
If not then the patch on the right side (for area of text) seems to be too small
Make the patch stretch to almost the bottom and top of the button
leaving maybe one or two pixels
I"m sure you know most of this info already, but when I started editing .9's this guide Helped explain A LOT. It may not be a perfect guide but It helped me understand how .9's are used, edited and applied.
A simple guide to 9-patch for Android UI | @radley
Hope this helps.
you know what? i think it IS the font size. i think it's too large to show properly on the button. idk how this happened maybe it was the font. anyhow, would you happen to know how to change font size for the buttons? which xml file would i have to mess with?
also, does anyone know how to change this to show in white?
everything else in the notification bar shows white, but the text for calls and pandora is blacked out for some reason.
