Help Things I need...

Newbie
I had just about everything for the Samsung Omnia 2 out the box, but I have to do more filling of the blanks with Nexus :). Based on what I had for Omnia 2, I need...

-A big digital clock with big font, showing the time, day, and date
-A Task Switcher, an app to close open programs taking up battery life
-Reset app
-Search (apps) app
-Music mp3 app
-A hompage or 'desktop' app. Preferably SPB, it was great for Omnia, but whatever's best for Nexus.
-Battery Life Icon app
-Adobe app
-Media Player
-Wallpaper App
-Weather App. Weather Bug seems the most accurate
-Best HD Real Time Strategy game :D
-a Microsoft Excel mobile app, or similar spreadsheet
-Memo app

Thats all I can think of for now, thanks in advance.

Another good app that covers the digital clock, weather, and battery icons is "Beautiful Widgets."

For MP3's I am just using "Google Music" and loving it. Plus it comes with free cloud storage.

For a reset app I believe you are going to need to be rooted, but there are plenty of apps out there for you once you do it.

I use Beautiful widgets for this

You don't need this, the button on the bottom right is exactly this. Just swipe right on the app to close.
-Reset app
I am not really sure what you are asking for here.
-Search (apps) app
-Music mp3 app
Tons, but Google Music works well for me and is pre-installed.

Android really has no need for this. Using widgets, and app shortcuts, you can create your homescreen exactly how you want it.
-Battery Life Icon app
Beautiful Widgets has one of these that is decent
-Adobe app
Adobe has their own reader, or Documents to Go, like Gekko said
-Media Player
-Wallpaper App
-Weather App. Weather Bug seems the most accurate
Weather Bug. ;) (I use weather channel)
-Best HD Real Time Strategy game :D
-a Microsoft Excel mobile app, or similar spreadsheet
Documents to Go
-Memo app

+1 on beautiful Widgets. Buy it and be done. Also has weather and allows you to link to whatever apps u like for calendar, weather and clock from the widget. Has battery Widgets , weather Widgets, different sizes....check it out.

For task killer - No need for task killer- android manages tasks for you and in some instances if you use a switcher it can create more issue by shutting down process that way, consider it rude to the system. The button for recent apps is just that...it is not a task killer. I repeat no task killer necessary with android. If you feel there are issues with apps leaking juice (and there are some out there) a task killer will not help.

For music I am all over the place, standard is winamp pro, it has eq, easy to use interface, and streams shoutcast. I also use Google music when wanting to access all the music I have stored over the years. Finally grooveshark VIP for finding new music.

Homescreen - while I do think that ics is amazing
n its ability I think it lacks some control. If you are rooted go find nexus launcher. It is just enough to tweak it your way. If you need full throttle control get adw launcher pro. Lots of settings control themes....

My biggest suggestion is to try out as much of stock ics as you can. It may take some getting used to but i guarantee you will enjoy it in the long run...google has put a lot of resources toward this experience and it shows. Hope this helps a little - good luck.
