Thinking about getting the Droid X...

My little brother has an upgrade coming up in July 8th and was thinking of using his upgrade for it.

Then I decided that I love my Inc too much and proceeded to purchase a 2150 battery, a hard case, and a charging dock.

Take that Motorola!!

I keep reading about how the droid x has a better gpu, but I guess we just have to wait for the need for speed apk dump to compare.

Personally I had a hard time using an evo with one hand for long durations. My thumb has good edge to edge coverage on the inc.

Check out this... it should give some idea of where the Incredible stands in comparison. The Droid X will be an absolute beast rooted and with 2.2!

I hope you are satisfied with your purchases. :) Be happy with the device you're fine with.

Got any pics of the case that you use for the 2150 and the car dock??

You'd never catch me with something as ridiculous and unnecessary in size and weight as the x.

We're going back in time with technology here. Speed doesn't make a difference in the equation.

The teens will love it though.

How are we going back in time with technology?

The specs are pretty awesome on the X. I agree with the person who said we are going backwards. For a while electronics were getting smaller, now they are getting bigger. How big is too big for a phone? Not sure, maybe they'll start making bigger pockets for our jeans...

don't use the evo numbers there as a comparison to an incredible. Somethings up with that phone. I get 6.8 mflops +/-0.1, 533 quadrants, a steady 58 fps on the graphics test. Mostly stock, rooted, and not overclocked yet...

A deal breaker on me switching over would be the in ability to root and install roms. Which is unforeseeable at this time. I'd also have to hold one as I have big palms, but short fingers-i need to swype with one hand dammit.
