Root Third Wave

I did a wipe before installing also. Basically, nothing special. I went from barely getting though the day to having at least 50% when I plug in at bedtime.

I have everything running except Bluetooth.

I'm at 156 hours with about 26hours awake time.

Are you using setCPU? I get 12 hours tops and I hardly use my phone. Going insane. I posted on this topic over here as well. Any thoughts?
 
When I use people an try to edit contact and change group, I get a force close as soon as I push down arrow to choose group. The people widget will not let me choose a group. Whatever I type in it will not except. If I open People from the main screen, then tap the second to right icon, it says Groups on top and loading and stays that way forever. There must be something wrong with my groups. Any ideas?

Haven't seen it, but I will flash Third Wave tonight after classes and see if I can reproduce the issue. Sorry, a bit swamped with real life at the moment. I am answering all the concerns I can at 6:30 in the morning :eek:

Did you use titanium back-up to restore any htc files? You may have accidentally restored 2.1 files. Also did you do a clean wipe prior to installing?
 
As the question above about battery life. I'm running third wave, king kernel#2, forever. I just took mine off the charger at 9:45am and its at 70% as of right now! 30% drop in like 45 minutes!
I think I have the worst battery life then anyone on this site! :(
 
Run the battery until it dies. It's possible your battery meter is just screwed up. I watched my battery drop VERY irregularly, and then hang at 10% for dang near an hour, last night after testing out the King 3.

charge to full with bump charging then go into clockwork and clear battery data and see if that helps

No I did not use a backup. Just hook the phone to the computer and HTC Sync took them from outllook. I don't know what you mean by clean wipe prior to installing.

Fixed, I was gonna clean wipe then reinstall the rom. As soon as a wiped cache and data, I could tell when I restarted that everything looked different, so I tried again. It is all working now. Thanks
 
On Third Wave with the Hydra OCUV kernel, getting 16 hours sometimes...!

I'm having a Gmail problem, though. Whenever I want to save a draft, it acts as though I want to send the email. The Send button... sends the email as well. I'm wondering if it's a froyo Gmail issue; is there any way to reinstall the app just to get a clean second try?

Thanks - I'd hate for you to make a patch. You could tell me what to push or replace if it's not too complicated.
 
Facebook Sync is working for me with FrankenRom , SecondWave and ThirdWave.

I put Thirdwave on my mothers DI and it's fantastic, I'm on frankenrom was on secondwave before thinking I"m going to go to Thirdwave out of all the roms I've used it's the least buggy from what I've exierenced

I have tried a few more ROMS but I like yours the best! A few suggestions/requests...I have not donated yet but would like to since I think I am sticking with your ROMS from now on hehe but anyways...

Any way to get the auto brightness in the stock power control widget (like nexus and moto droid) or skin it to look more Sense like? Or skin the stock music widget to be more sense like?

Also, any way to get window animations on Sense? I imagine this being damn near impossible but I love the vanilla window animations. They are the thing I miss most.

Love the ROM and love your work!

Before you install any new Rom you are supposed to wipe all data and start fresh. This is why you back up individual programs first so you can restore them after you install a new Rom. Go check out a Sticky it will explain how to do this. Guessing you should start over...
 
Great news, I just installed KingXKernal #3 over 3rd Wave and also uninstalled SetCPU, My Verizon as well as the ESPN Score Center app. I used to get 12 hours until I flat-lined, now I am at 15 hours and still have 50% battery life. Not sure if the improvement is from installing King #3 or from uninstalling those apps but either way I'm happy....
