its not 100% bricked, it can be recovered at least to a point, as i said before, the extent of the damage cant be told for sure but if you had a computer and manually hacked the hell out of it you could probably recover it. that requires a.computer, and manual hacking tho

no zips will flash in syock recovery they lock it, the only ways to recover it are the zte update tool, which requires an official update first, and going in over adb through a computer to either force a working cwm or manually force the system back.in there right

if you really wanna go that route and try to recover it that is up to you but without a pc its impossible

its probably just what they call soft bricked, no damage to.anything but system, but fixing it without a conouter in its current state cannot be done

im not here to try and trick you out of a phone, thats not me, but with no pc theres nothing you can do and i should be able to not only recover it with a little work but use it to make a working cwm and get cyanogenmod going

Between the two of you, and me. soon, things will start to happen down here:D Thanks and Kudos to the both of you!!!:D

Cant wait to get this phone and start some testing!!!!! ;):p:D:)

It's not bricked. Mine did this last night it took a reboot. However when i got it rooted with framaroot i installed chainfire 3d to see if it worked on this phone and if it made the graphics a little better. But when I installed it and tried to install the driver that came with it, all i get is the green android guy loading screen and nothing more. I am going to have to wait until cwm or twrp come out for the phone so i can use a recovery of it. I don't have titanium backup. Wish I would have gotten it beforehand.

without a pc tho you cant install cwm without a bootable os. and i cant finish cwm without a test unit

Hmm... Well I have a pc. It can boot into recovery mode. I go to restore everything and nothing restores. I am not good at programming. I can build and repair computers, just never good on the programming side. I barely passed C++ with a C. lol I thought about calling boost and telling them I don't know what the hell happened. Hahaha see how that works out.

it is possible, boost usually wont replace things tho, zte might have but we are working on just getting it to me so i can continue working on this. gotta figure out why thr money never got there. then once i get it ill be able to figure out why cwm wont boot right. with a pc tho you can manually force the stock rom back on without cwm as long as adb works through ftm or recovery or something

Hmmm. If I knew how to do that I would try and I would help you but unfortunately I don't. ZTE I called them for warranty. They said I would have to ship it to texas, let them repair the phone, then let them send it back. They said it could be a mechanical error. However, What I am wondering is if they get the phone and see what the real cause is and not fix it. Plus it would take god knows how long for it to get there, to be fixed, then be sent back to me.....

i dunno, its possible but also it could be what the app did to system which is a whole other issue. your only guarantee right now is to format data and system then push a copy of the stock rom with all necessary symlinks of course. its a horribly painful process no matter what tho

Hmmm well, I will say however. I did learn a valuable lesson from all of this. One, it's my fault. So I can't blame anyone but me. 2 I just need to learn to fix my mistake and be patient. 3 it's a good way for me to learn more I guess. Haha.

So how do I go about doing this? I get reboot system now, apply update from adb, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, apply update from external storage, apply update from cache, md5 check.

So far I have done the data/factory reset, and I have wiped the cache partion. As those are the only 2 options I have. I can't get into my phone when I plug it into my computer to see the files. Maybe I have to choose one of the options. I don't know about the money situation about why the guy didn't get the money. He should have. However I am not trying to start anything as I don't know the situation.

you will have to use a command line program called adb. and yea factory reset got rid of the app its what it did to system thats the problem or itd be fixed. youll need to get it connected through adb somehow, ftm mode has a good shot, then manually format system, mount it as writable, and push a full stock system and redo the necessary symlinks

Ok brother thanks for your willingness and patience to help me, even though your busy with this and god knows what among other things. So I do thank you. Now to get FTM mode you press up and power key at the same time right? It goes straight to a black screen with FTM in a grey box in the middle. So obviously that's right, I assume. I hear it connect on my computer. I do have ADB. So maybe ADB will connect it when I open it.

I have the sdk manager open and I installed Android 4.1 files and other things from the manager. When I go into adb mode on the phone it says Now send the package, you want to apply to the device with adb sideload <filename>"... how do I find sideload to do this?

Also how do I manually format system, mount it as writable, and push a full stock system and redo symlinks? I am assuming i need to run commands from a command line to do this?

Either way my phone does not display under my computer in FTM and ADB command mode. I think it has something to do with the fact the drivers need to be installed from the phone to run it and everytime i have reformatted the phone it would not connect to the computer until I have installed them either on the phone or from the phone. However the phone does it. I guess this phone is definitely a different breed. I don't want to send it in to repair as if I do they might find the root apk for it and send it in to be blocked.

is your pc windows?....try a linux box.....with command line...

Yes it's windows. I used to have linux, but I got rid of it. I never liked nor could I figure it out. I got tired of it and got rid of it. As it never did what I needed it to do anyways. Nothing against you, that's just been my experience with linux.

ftm may not have adb, im not really sure, but knowing the connection is working requires manually looking it up in device manager knowing what ur looking for, or use a command line to run adb devices

Well thanks for the info man. I am not really sure on where to go from here however. I may have to look up some guides on how to do it. Because I don't see how device manager will be able to send things over to my phone, nor do I know how to use adb command line, which I am assuming to use from the command prompt. Thank you.

device manager is just to check if its connected. youll have to learn to use adb to "push" the files, it wont be easy, but if you want your phone fixed its that or send it back

Ok thank you. Do you know a guide or a reference I can look at to learn how to push files back to my phone? Where would I get these files to push back also? From the SDK/ADB managers?

you would need the full stock rom specific to this phone. the is the.only way to get the files. as far as a guide umm... i dont have a link but google search it you should be able to.find a guide to adb

So basically I would have needed a backup of the full stock from the phone itself? Well I don't have a back up so it looks like I am sending it back.
