I am going to try to get Verizon to switch out my thunderbolt with the vigor when it comes out.

Good Luck. I think you'd have to have a great reason not to end up paying the ETF, especially for a phone that still doesn't have a confirmed release date. If they do it, they'll have the majority of TBolt owners screaming to get theirs swapped out also.

Let us know though.

I just think they should because us with thunderbolts will surely feel left out of the dust when it is released

I really wanted the next gen 'krait' snapdragon cpu and adreno 225 gpu.. hopefully the leaked specs aren't quite accurate.

The chips were distributed late spring.. get em in some phones!

Think ill wait and see what CES has to offer. Not just an LTE Sensation.. I'm kinda disappointed they didn't go all out with the tbolt replacement. I would gladly wait till Q2 2012 to get the newest Qualcomm hardware.

With news hitting of HTCs partnership with Beats Audio, this could be something really interesting. Devices would start to come in the fall

Let us know how that turns out. Is ur contract up soon?

Nope it just got renewed when I got the thunderbolt, il try and hope but I don't know, I feel like they should with all the frustrating times they have given us with this phone

Good luck. I'm on my 5th refurb and while at this point even a new Thunderbolt wouldn't really make me feel satisfied (how long before I have trouble with the new phone and have to go through the whole refurb nightmare again?) I don't know where else to go with this. The other 4G offerings from Verizon don't really interest me. Maybe I'll just sell my TB and go back to my old Windows phone, which is slower than a home schooled kid that was birthed by his father/brother and sister/aunt in the deep south....

I kept my Incredible when I upgraded to the TB, so I'll sell both on eBay when the Vigor comes out to cover the cost of upgrading mid-contract. Win-win.

The part i most want and can't wait for is the supposed Batt life of the dual cores. Not just the t-bolt but all smart phones need longer batt life. I will buy out of contract if the batt lasts as long as they say. I don't need ALL day with non-stop use but it would be nice to know you could get a full day if you were away from an outlet or didn't have your spare on you.
Please be a nice looking phone.......

Sorry, didn't realize there were pics out already. last time i checked there were none. I look nice....Perfect !!!!!

Meh if it's coming this year, i don't care. I can over clock my Thunderbolt to 1.5. Im just more excited about Ice Cream Sandwhich.

And get shitty battery life. This is dual core which means it will distribute the 1.5 between cores so it doesnt drain as much battery, nicer screen, more ram, better cameras etc. Not to mention it will get ics before the tb does. I mean hell look the tb still doesnt have gb when the inc 2 and inc are getting it.

who cares if they track your serial. YOU know what you're doing. YOU know its your fault if YOU screw it up. YOU know it voids warranties. that's why at the beginning of every how-to, there is a warning.

not trying to be a dick, but why would you be worried about this?

Because he is prob one who would screw the phone up and then try and take it back for a replacement.

I thought people going back to stock for warranty issues was common. I would if a pixel died on me or something. That seems like a legitimate excuse. Right????

Because that is what a lot of people do. They root their phone and do all sorts of stuff, but when a small hiccup occurs they reverse everything and send it back in for a new one. I believe the issue at hand was more about how HTC might be handling such things in the future.

Could you imagine the uproar it was cause if someone tried to send back a phone that was previously rooted and they told them no?

This is the reason that I don't send my phones back. With my Incredible I had a couple concerns, but I ended up keeping it and loved it. With this phone I have even more small concerns, but I don't want to get drug into this horrible round-robin of phone swapping. I also agree that the other 4G offerings are subpar. I had been entertaining the idea of getting a Bionic, but now I'm just not so sure. The Charge is actually a decent phone, I'm still unsure why so many people feel that it feels "cheap". It feels pretty good and It's a perfect step up for my wife (she has a Fascinate currently).

Not trying to be a stickler here... I have pictures of the Tbolt and the Vigor. To those that say the Vigor is a sweet looking phone. Kind of plain Jane if you ask me. It's skinny and has kind of a cheap looking back to it. The front looks alot like a Samsung Fascinate. But hey what do I know. I just think the Tbolt looks better made and has alot more style to it and craftsmanship. Check pictures

No one liked the back on the Incredible, either. Then we all got ahold of it and it was pretty nice. It had a great feel to it and the red accents made the phone look very sexy. I was a bit saddened by the dull grey and non-matching black back, TBH. While I do want my sweet new devices to look cool, I don't put that much thought into them when I have them in my pocket or on my desk 90% of the time.
